Ok product. Some of the stitching has already began to come out after only 4 uses. Sound is good quality. The blue tooth distant is very weak and has to be within direct line of beanie, if phone is placed in back pocket it will disrupt communication. Overall it is a great product for my running needs but does need some work.

I have to say for $15 Prime I wasn't really expecting much out of this beanie- I pay $4-5 just for plain black beanies to wear at work on the marina, and the price difference for the Bluetooth functionality just didn't seem like much. It's a definite 'why not give it a try' situation. And, since this particular hat comes in a very black black color, with very minimal marking or labeling, it's perfect to get away with wearing on the job as black/plain headgear is all we are permitted with our uniform.

As far as the quality of the beanie, I'd rate it a 7/10 in knit, comfort, and warm- It isn't the thinnest I own, but it's also not a $25 name brand beanie. It's pretty standard in a 'big box store' way. It fits well, and I tend to have a bigger head, and is warm, yet soft enough to be worn for extended periods (8 hour stretches) without getting itchy or binding at the ears.

Of course what you want to hear about is the Bluetooth function. It paired very easy for me and shows as BT-03S (headphones) on my smartphone Bluetooth menu. The instructions provided are kind of useless- So, while it does have call and voice function, don't expect that to come intuitively. You'll want to play around for it a bit to learn the button commands, despite the 3 button operation (which seems simple enough.) Using it to stream music, as is my primary use, is easy enough.

Let's talk audio- I hate to say 'What do you expect?' but it applies here. It's an awesome, cool, accessory that is affordable enough to misplace at work or have a coworker borrow without having to worry about breaking the bank. Unlike some similar products we own (Bluetooth sunglasses) this beanie does not have in ear earbuds- but, rather, two little internal speakers that rest over the ear. The speakers themselves ARE covered by fabric. You should also be aware that the audio is audible to others in the area when NOT on the head, but at most comfortable levels entirely acceptable when on the head. That is to say the audio against the ears prevents the sound from funneling outside and bothering those around you quite well.

The audio is audio. It is not tinny, and the Bluetooth connection holds exceptionally, but don't expect precision BASS. The audio is has a good volume range and is clear enough to enjoy in most indoor and outdoor environments. I would not wear this in a snow storm or shopping mall where outside ambient noise is high- but for my purposes around the marina, on the bike, and in the office it works great. Very well worth the price and convenient to have- I use it daily.

I would not, however, recommend it for the calling/microphone feature, for I have had little luck with that. The sound on the recieving end simply isn't good no matter what I do and I would only use it in an emergency.

The listed charge time is 2.5 hours- We keep it charged for 3-4 on average.

The listed run time (continual) is 5 hours. We average 4.5-5 hours with Bluetooth streaming music from the smartphone.

There is a visual and verbal indicator of charge/charging/on/off- in a distinct accent that is fairly loud and audible.

A feature I especially like is that the speakers may be removed from the beanie so you can launder the hat. This is extremely convenient. So far it has not resulted in any wear and the process if pretty simple. However, it is worth noting the slit where the charging cable is intended to connect to the main speaker port is very messy and not easy to connect. We have manually made the slit bigger because I feared overheating or poor connection in charging due to the messy threads and tiny port slit.

Again, I am very pleased with this item, and I will be buying more- I go through beanies so fast at work they get picked up by coworkers or lost on the marina. I am so glad this is an affordable treat I can enjoy! I received a product discount in hopes I would share my honest experiences, which I have done here. I received this the other day and put it on the table so that when my boyfriend got home he would see it. I heard his excitement from the other room and came out to look at the happiness on his face. He was really excited about it and said that he couldn't wait to use it. Normally at work he has on a beanie every single day so this is perfect now he doesn't have to have headphones connected because the beanie will do the work for him. Really excited for you to use them kind of jealous that I didn't get some for myself but he wears beanies more than I do.

Great price point, surprising sound quality, warm ears!

I wear a beanie probably 5/7 days of the week. I'm also pretty constantly wearing headphones. Perfect combination right? Some other important info about myself --- very much a musical quality snob. If headphones don't sound great, I throw them away. That being said, I wasn't expecting much, but was hoping for great things out if this purchase. Sitting at only $8.99 when I purchased, it would be difficult to be let down too badly. .

Let's start with quality. Wow. I was expecting absolutely garbage but was very pleasantly surprised! They obviously are the quality you will see from noise cancelling in ears or over ears but great sounding nonetheless! Very surprised, especially, like I mentioned, at this low price point.

Though this hat was great, I have three reasons for knocking off a star. First off is headphone positioning. I wear fitted beanies typically and if I pull this all the way down, the headphone part sits on my neck. This could be different for different people and different heads, though. The primary reason for the loss of a star is it's inability to reach higher volumes. This could be attributed to the fact that, again, not noise cancelling and not in or over ears, but still annoying nonetheless. Lastly, we have Bluetooth connectivity. I seemed to lose signal if I had my phone in the opposite pocket as the Bluetooth connecting side. This seems like a very short distance to be losing signal, but was easily remedied by switching phone pockets. These three items together take away a star from my rating.

Very neat idea with a few flaws.

Totally digging this beanie. I'm a sometimes-bus-riding-commuter and tend to like to listen to music on my way into work. Now, in the winters, I have a few options, but this would by far be the easiest. This thing is stylish enough that my wife said so, er, or rather didn't provide feedback in the negative which is usually what I get out of my hats. So that's a plus. The controls are easy, pairing was easy, and the sound is good enough. I didn't have any issues dropping signal during my initial tests so that is also good.

So, while I do absolutely love this, I did have a few problems with it that seem like they should be noted. First, I have a large head... or largeish at least. I tend to wear the L/XL flex fits, and measured hats I wear are typically at 7 1/2... this beanie felt very loose. Not so loose that it's a problem, but it doesn't have a tight grip around the ears. Additionally, the controls are on the wrong side... let me explain. The forward button points forward (track / volume) when it's on the right side of your head... if you wear it on the left side, as shown in the pic, and as it fit me, you have to press backwards to go forwards. Kind of an odd deal, but given how it's constructed I couldn't switch it around and have it fit over my ears (the speakers that is).

Even with these flaws I love the beanie. I think the concept is perfect, and the implementation is pretty good... not 5 stars good, but pretty good.

So, the deal with any electronic device or devices tends to be longevity. Without cracking this open I can't speak to the quality of the internal build, the wiring, the soldering, etc... so until it doesn't work I have to assume that it will (unless the build quality is noted otherwise). As wit will be with any of these such devices I will be back to provide an update on longevity and durability if/when I need to.
