Designed for maximum flexibility, Black Diamond is suitable for most knives with blade of up to 4mm wide. Tightly packed, it can fit up to 11 knives alternated but is best for 6. I purchased this for a more hygienic knife storage option. My old wood block was starting to gross me out. I thought that this would be steel, but it's plastic. It's very hard plastic, but not very heavy. I wish it were heavier, but it hasn't been an issue. This block does not fit the 7 piece Arondight set very well. The knives fit better when they're placed in every other slot. Overall, I'm glad I got it.

Ill start off by saying I had really low expectations from this product but wow did it blow my expectations out of the water! Its such a sturdy and beautiful design that just looks exceptional on my granite counter top! Its just an eye catcher when you see it from a far. Plus with the added knifes it just makes the set perfect!

If you are looking for something different with a modern twist this is the perfect purchase for those who want something sleek but modern in your kitchen!

The knife block was the cherry on top of the knife set. This knife set deserves something quality to hold them, especially with their sleek design. You want to show them off! The beautiful modern design makes for great decor in my kitchen. highly recommend!

This block looks so cool on the counter. I use it for Global branded knives that have a silver with black accented handle and it looks great. One knife (a fillet type that is long with a thin blade) tends to fall to the side, which then leaves the blade pointing out through the side.
