Sound quality is meh at best. Mine lasted a couple months before making weird noises and not holding a charge as long. The speaker also sounds very worn now and I do not use it (and never have) at full volume.

Sounds great for the little box that it is! I love it. My only complaint(s) have to do with the power switch and lack of "track controls". The way the power switch is set up, You can just tap it to turn it on, but that poses a problem when I store it in my backpack while traveling, as the power button apparently gets bumped quite a lot. As for the lack of controls, it's not a huge thing with me, but would be really nice to have.
Now you're listening to Power.

Whether you are an old-school veteran gamer, a new-school retro gamer, or just a hapless hipster in search of something ironic on which to listen to bands you liked before they were popular, your inner child compels you to buy this speaker. On the design alone, this product deserves five stars, but it's also a pretty decent-sounding speaker. Sure, it's monaural, and there are no track controls (you will have to skip or replay tracks from the source device) but who cares?
The d-pad (the black + on the top) left and right control volume, down is play/pause, and up is power. Only a single press on the power button will turn the device on, so this is probably not something you want to throw into a bag lest you find it was inadvertently powered on, the battery drained, and you now have a functionless, but very cool-looking speaker. It has a integrated non-user-replaceable battery, charges via Micro USB, and even comes with a cable (Micro USB to USB Type A.) Not included is a USB wall charger, but almost every phone for the past 10 years has come packaged with an AC adapter containing a Type A (rectangular) USB port, and you probably have at least one laying around. Alternatively, you could just plug it into your computer, and charge it that way.
The Cube Speaker also sports a 3.5 millimeter input (think, headphone jack) if you wish to plug in an eternal sound source instead of using Bluetooth. To give you an idea of the size, I am a male with large hands (I guarantee you there's no problem) and the base of the speaker is smaller than the palm of my hand. You're not going to be enjoying EDM on this, but I have a hard time believe that anybody actually enjoys EDM.
Looks cool, Max volume is incredibly quiet

Looks cool but the low volume makes it almost unusable for me. I suspect I may have got a dud because the quality of all the other 8bitdo products I have is great.
A Great Speaker for its Price

The Speaker is loud and hits a the high notes, low notes and everything in between. I'm a bit dismayed that there are no next/previous buttons incorporated, but then again that can be easily done on my phone. All in all a really good speaker for a really low cost.

I had one of these like....years ago,but at the time, the TSA took it away from me for some reasons, and now that I'm older,I reunited myself with a new one and it's not AS good as I remember it to be,but it's still great for a small office and has a great battery life! Love it!
Just buy it

Looks great, but the sound is quiet and a bit scratchy on it's loudest setting. The D-pad controls do not work well. More missed inputs than a Switch Pro Controller's D-pad.
really wished it played a little louder but overall it's nice love
