Not terrible but not amazing

Before you buy this, read what it does and look at the pictures. This product over all meets its goal but there are some areas for improvement or at least an option for different versions of it. First of all, let's get this right: it can definitely hold a cup or mug and prevent it from sliding easily. It is definitely more practical than just putting your cup/mug/container on the arm rest. The only negative aspect I can think of is that I wish that it would hold onto the sides more so it could be more secure or at least a model that has that option. You can't please everyone, am I right? haha. Overall, it's a good product.

As seen on tv reject garbage!
by Edward Riddick (1 out of 5 stars)

As soon as I took it out and saw"As seen on tv." On the box I knew I made a mistake. It doesn't fit on the arm of my couch. I thought it clamped to the couch but no. It's like two heavy dog ears that flop over the arm of your couch. It slides around and will cause you to spill your drinks not stop you. You might as well just turn your drink upside down onto the couch or the floor and get it over with. The cup holder doesn't fit my cup. It's too small for the insert and too big when you take it out. Maybe I can tie it around my head in a bow and sing yippity doo dah day. Idk. 🤷"♂️

Unstable on couches that have stuffing
by Sherri (1 out of 5 stars)

My couch has stuffed arms. The couch coaster was a waste of money. It tilts and spills easily. Wish I had returned it. No one will use it.

Didn't work!

I lost two glasses using this on two different couches (thinking perhaps it was the size of the arm. Fairly bummed at the expense (yeah, I buy expensive glasses ☹️)

Works great!! Love it!! Even on a rocker recliner!
by R. Allen (5 out of 5 stars)

I was looking for something for the arm of a rocker recliner. I wasn't sure this would work very well on a rocking chair. The arm of our chair is the same size as our sofa. Turns out it works great!! I am very impressed with how it holds when the chair is moving, even in the reclining position which makes it tilted back at a slight angle. Our arms are more rounded on the edges & it still holds well. The insert allows you to hold a smaller cup more securely. When removed it allows a larger cup or a coffee cup with handle sticking out the slot. Great invention, I wish I had thought of it!

Good product, but didn't meet my needs
by Imelda (1 out of 5 stars)

Good product, but didn't meet my needs. The part that lays flat was too large for my motorhome sofa arm. Not complaining about the product, but when I tried to return it, they wanted to charge me $7.54 return shipping. That's outrageous for a $25 product. Amazon should pull this seller for unscrupulous practices. Make sure if you buy it, you want it, because like me, you'll be stuck with it.

Perfect Gift!
by Christina (5 out of 5 stars)

I got this for my Mom for Christmas. She loves it. I love using it when I'm over there. My aunt tried to walk off with it.

It's just a great idea executed really well. It's super convenient, moves easily to whichever seat you're using, doesn't harm the furniture, and is really stable. Like "the tea didn't spill when the toddler jumped on the couch" stable.

It's also at a great price point for white elephant gifts. Not that you shouldn't get one for yourself, but this is just something that's too good not to share.
(okay, I may seem a little over the top, but what to do with the dang cups when there are no end tables is a problem we've been having since Mom's living room got changed around. And you can put coffee cups in this. Holy cow, how has no one made one of these before. Yeah, over the top, but that's just how I feel about this.)

Extremely useful- color me surprised
by Adultish Young Professional (5 out of 5 stars)

I'm trying to be better about writing reviews about things I really enjoy, given how much I order from Amazon and am meh on.

Problem: My 6'7" boyfriend enjoys sitting in a large armchair. However, our apartment and living room arrangement makes any side table awkward. This left him holding onto his drink with no place to easily set it if he decided to work on his laptop.

I saw this item in passing from time to time and sort of scoffed. Like...$25? For a silicone cup holder? Really? Boy, am I eating my words. This was a very nice surprise.

It feels heavy and sturdy, with the two ends weighted nicely so its not easily displaced. Underneath there is a plastic base that may or may not be removable? I'm thinking not. But it keeps things stable and flat. There is a plastic insert so you can try to fit larger mugs (not all will fit though). I found it useful with my larger water bottles. The finish is matte with the exception of the plastic pieces. While this is nice, it does show dust and attracts hair. Easy enough to wipe off with a damp cloth.

Overall, do you need it? Depends on who you are. But I'm very, very pleased with the construction and the durability. My boyfriend is as well. One of those little things that makes our lives a smidgen better.

Solid and Stable
by Beartrap88 (5 out of 5 stars)

This drink holder fits perfectly around the wide arm of my recliner, and it stays in place. It holds whatever size of cups or glassware I have placed in it, without tipping or spilling any of the liquid contents -- even on those few occasions when I have accidentally knocked against the cup or holder with an errant arm. At least for me, this product works well and it looks good on my recliner. I find it safe and easy to use, and it does the intended job.

Just what I needed.
by Miss Scarlet B. (5 out of 5 stars)

I enjoy a cup of caffe corretto in the evenings (decaf, of course, or I'd be up all night). I also like to lean back in my comfy couch and catch up on politics or take online courses. My big comfy couch has big soft armrests. They are a tempting spot to set my cup, since I don't really want to keep leaning forward and back to get it from the coffee table, and there's no room for an end table. But I resist...it's an accident waiting to happen. So I looked at many options, like the cup holders with "legs" and the flat armrest tables and the tables that slide over the couch. Let me just add one thing: I have two cats. They do spazzy things like jump up on a table or arm of a chair with no warning. So these options + cats all looked like a disaster waiting to happen. Finally, I decided to try the Couch Coaster, and it's exactly what I needed. It has no surface area that interests the cats as a seating place. If they jump next to it (or if I do something spazzy myself) it's not going to get knocked off because the material grips the couch plus it is nicely weighted. The Couch Coaster also has the advantage of being subtly attractive and blending in with the color of my couch. The best part is that I can really relax with my evening coffee now, because there is no need to lean back and forth to pick it up and set it down. It's just there, right on the big armrest, right where I've always wished it could be.
