I got this mister for my son's birthday and he is a Star Wars fanatic. He loves it. We placed it in the middle of table at his party and everyone thought it was so cool. It splashed a few drips of water at first but then once I adjusted the "splash guard " as they call it , it worked great. Really cool and easy since you just add regular water to get it to mist.

Based on other reviews and the introduction sheet (it says keep anything important 30 inches away), we put an extra towel under the mister when we set ours up. Yes, the water splashed a little but not too bad, considering the amazing changing color light with the mist effect, besides the water is cold and not harmful. oh, when we don't use it as a mister, the top is deep enough to be a candy/fruit holder, the plastic material seems washable which is a plus! Based on the duo use, I give it a 5 star!

Darth Camel- Watch Out, it Spits!

While the concept is cool. The manufacturer missed a real opportunity. If they would've made the water container out of translucent plastic & would've made translucent lenses on Darth Vaders eyes as well, it would've allowed the light from the mister to shine through. Instead they cheaped out & made everything opaque so the light only shines from the top. I compared this in the store with the Darth Vader candy bowl & it is virtually identical in every way except for the square depression inside the top for the mister. And WOW! does that thing spray water, not just mist/ fog. It comes with a little drop cloth to place underneath, but it's not big enough for the amount of side spray. I'm going to use this outside (weather permitting) on Halloween night, so the spray isn't a huge issue. Just be aware should you want to use this as a table centerpiece that you'll need to give it some space as there is no volume adjustment for the mister.

Mold is Almost Identical to Candy Dish w/ Added Mister/ Fogger

With water, this becomes a little top heavy. I opened up the bottom & placed 3 synthetic corn hole bean bags inside mine so it's not accidentally knocked over as easily. The only difference in this item & the Stormtrooper candy dish is the flattened depression inside the top...& this also comes with the same type of mister/ fogger that can be purchased from most pet stores...or from Amazon. If you want 1 stop shopping, this isn't a bad price. Although if you look around you can purchase the Stormtrooper candy dish for about $10 & the mister for about $20 saving yourself about $10 by purchasing separately. That's what I did, so I bought 2 Stormtrooper candy dishes & 2 misters & saved $20. I purchased the Darth Vader with mister last year & realized afterwards that I could've saved some money if I had purchased the candy dish & mister separately.
