My fiancé and I were gathering ideas for rustic wedding and we found out about palm leaf plates on Pinterest. Liked the idea, searched on Amazon and Voila!

As we are seriously planning to use palm leaf plates on our BIG wedding, we have ordered sample plates from few brands to compare and avoid any risk. By far, this is the BEST brand in terms of shape, texture and quality.

These are not only beautiful, but also very clean. Way sturdier than plastic/paper plates. Will bring elegant look to any occasion. Hopefully, our wedding arrangement will be awesome with these plates.

After using plastic and paper based disposable products for a long time, we (me and my wife) wanted to give a try with bio-based products. In fact, we were about to buy bamboo/wood made plates when I noticed this item - plates made from fallen leaves. We thought, which can be a better move than to buy a product that does not cause any harm to the environment at all. It actually helps the environment since it is compostable and bio-degradable.

Of course, there were other brands like this particular one, but we were motivated by the great advertisement from the seller. And people like us who care about the presentation/style of the product packaging, the appearance of this brand along with the name was just the right one.

When we got this delivered, my wife loved the item instantly since it was just like the picture at the Amazon. Finally, we got a chance to use them and trust us, we couldn't be more satisfied. This product is very sturdy unlike the paper and plastic ones; the textures are all natural and not to mention, way more attractive than it seems. We are going to use them for the up-coming Holiday dinner parties. We hope that our guests would love them as well.

Price might bother you a bit because of its higher price than plastic and paper plates. But, think about it that you are using all natural and environment-friendly products. In some way, you are helping the planet at the end of the day.

Note: Bamboo/wood made plates are also in the similar price-range but you can never call them entirely Eco-friendly.

All of these plates had green mold on them. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture before throwing them away, because all of this was discovered very quickly while preparing last-minute for a party, but they were totally unusable. We were hoping to have these nicer disposable plates, but ended up having to grab cheap plates from the CVS down the street because there was no time for a better option. Would not recommend.

I was looking for a better alternative of regular one-time-use plastic plates for a potluck party. Luckily I found this artistically designed, eco-friendly and premium quality oval shaped palm leaf plates. Everyone in the potluck party was surprisingly delighted when I served the foods with these oval shaped plates. In turn, I was a happy host :).

Also, these plates are sturdy enough to use multiple times even with reheating in microwave oven. I really like its natural texture and color. Later, I came to know from its webpage that these plates are made of fallen areca palm leaves with no harmful action towards tree. This made me overwhelmingly satisfied that finally I can buy something which is truly chemical-free, biodegradable and environment friendly. Go green!

These plates added a unique touch to our wedding! I tied them together with the 9.5 x 6.5 trays & wrapped utensils & set them on the tables. They worked out well & some guests didn't want to throw them away(not realizing that they were disposable). I felt better spending almost the same amount that I would've spent on plastic on these(which are better for the environment & my guests). They're lightweight, durable & can handle the heat! After unwrapping them, I was concerned that my guests would think that they looked dirty & not want to use them, but it was the opposite, compliments all around. =)

Sturdy and attractive

We used these as snack bowls at our party in a brewery. They were the perfect size to hold some pub mix on all of the tables. These are small so they should be used for tasting or sampling, not serving. The bowls held up surprisingly well, even after holding wet food products for several hours at a time. We received a lot of comments about how attractive they were, and everyone was surprised at how sturdy they were compared to plastic and paper bowls.

I bought these plates on the recommendation of a friend. And I was thoroughly impressed. Aside from being nature friendly and aesthetically pleasing these plates are also sturdy and very nicely shaped. I bought the plates to try them out as appetizer plates for a party but you can also very easily use these as small dinner plates. And that's what I plan to do - use the rest as dinner plates for the next gathering at my home.

Pros: Sturdy, evenly sized, durable, aesthetically very pleasing

Cons: Pricier than paper plates, but with its eco-friendliness and aesthetic value, worth it.

I would highly recommend buying these if you like to present food at your party on something unique and elegant. There are also a variety of other sizes that you could try out if 8" is too big/small for the portion you have in mind.

Authentic Palm spathe experience

I'm usually too lazy to write a review unless the product is exceedingly good or bad. But I had to write a review for this one, after the plentitude of compliments I got from the guests for these plates.

I was looking for an inexpensive yet uncommon option for serving this indian dessert in a get together. I chose these plates because their shape is somewhat similar to palm flower spathes.

However I was pleasantly amused, when I saw these plates are like spathes not only in shape, but also in colour- darker on one side and lighter on the other. I took a couple of photos right away and sent them to a friend, who also liked them very much! Such attention to detail is really remarkable and I think they should highlight this attribute in the product description.

The plates are surprisingly sturdy considerings these are disposable ones. I'm pretty sure they can be reused multiple times in case you serve dry types of food in them like cakes and cookies. Ultimately, isn't that the way to go green- repurpose, reuse, and recycle?

loved these plates. guests were all impressed by them and didn't want to throw them out. They are thick and very sturdy. Didn't use one of the plates because it had some spots on them and didn't look too appetizing, but of course this being a natural product it was no ones fault. other then that, great product!

I have used palm leaf plates for the past five years for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is my first year with this company and wish I could rate these higher but they came a little too curved and wobbly - like they weren't stored properly at the warehouse. I stacked my heaviest books on them for a couple days and they flattened (not something you want to stress about before hosting). Will think of purchasing again for Christmas
