Poor product quality, atrocious support

I used this item regularly for two months. Cool concept, but the plastic bit (see picture) which supports the UK plug broke after pretty light use!

I tried contacting support via Facebook and the email address provided, but have been ignored. Product team does not stand by their product, and it WILL break on you due to poor construction. Why they would make a piece that regularly moves out of thin plastic makes no sense to me.

Buy at your own risk. Not built to last and you will be ignored. Stick with a regular adapter from a reputable brand.

The power strip and usb ports in such a compact form is awesome. I'll give the donut/bagle a 5 star.

However the Power adapter stopped working for me after the third time I used it. It seems that the metal contacts for the US plug side has bent in such a way that power never makes it to the brick. Going to attempt to reach out to Mogics to see if something can be done to get this fixed.

Reducing the rating. I cannot get ahold of anyone at Mogics to see if I can get some support to figure out why the power adapter broke.

Update on 2019-10-26

The single best travel and laptop-bag accessory, useful even when not travelling! Works with all plugs, including Singaporean -- you just have to ensure that the wire is unravelled so the vertical third prong can fit in the groove. I use it *all* the time, and have bought others as gifts. I once lost the inner 'bagel' part of the donut, so I would like it if they sold it separately for those who've misplaced theirs. Changed my review to *5 stars* -- I had such high hopes for the Mu plug, but this has surpassed it. If they were to license and incorporate Mu's folding plug that would be a great secondary product! Great piece of Singa design.

Amazingly functional and compact, comes with a nice case. Now the problems: Singaporean 3-pin plugs do not work with this, only the bottom two prongs work, but the top prong stops them from going in. So this is surprising because apparently it was designed in Singapore? Anyway, it is mostly useless for most of my laptops and things! Minor nitpick: the case doesn't fit properly because the white loop makes the bagel sit askew. Minor nitpick: it's quite a production to get the inner donut "filler" out, and to open up the various prongs. There is no square Singapore style prong, apparently the round ones suffice. I haven't bothered with it, I just carry a SG-to-USA adaptor with me in addition. Despite my main beef, easily a 4 star product, and a 5-star if you don't visit Singapore.

This is a great new design for an old problem: ever growing need for power outlets.

I was one of the investors/backers in Kickstarter when Mogic was developing this product and got one as a reward. It had been stolen, so I bought a new one and it works perfectly as well. The "universal" socket they managed to develop around the "bagel" is very practical and saves space.

Very convenient to share outlets in an airport, hotel, meeting room, etc...

This product was wonderful for providing multiple outlets for use from a single wall outlet. This enabled conversion from a non-US power source to charge multiple battery chargers as well as additional USB ports concurrently. It's small size and weight were also a big bonus for travelers. This is an excellent product to provide photographers multiple outlets for battery charging while minimizing space and weight.

Nothing but trouble

We buy these for our teams that travel a lot at work. Mine has lasted less than a year. It turns off randomly, it sparks (I mean like ARCING sparks) as you plug some things in to it, and a co-worker had hers catch on fire. This is a great concept that is very poorly executed.

The travel adapter bits work as advertised, but since you have to hit the thing (HARD) to get it to turn back on and start charging your stuff, it's not worth traveling with. I *always* end up using a second adapter (which I liked less, but since it works I like it a lot more now).

Outstanding little device that can be easily packed for trips if you are in need of power, i.e. CPAP machines which so many people now use or any electrical device that one might need powered. On a recent cruise, the stewards provided a 25 foot heavy extension cord for use on my wifes CPAP. This was really a pain having to step over and around it. My son, the Guru of all that is electronic, naturally had one of these bagels and clued me in on it. As usual, Amazon had one waiting for us when I returned home.

As an European, I sometimes have a hard time trying to charge my devices in hotels - usually only one socket is available (at best), and as a rule it's located in place which requires contortionist's skills to reach. Thus - bagel.

It is very small and light and it looks nice.

Plastic is of remarkable quality, but the adapter plug seems quite fragile. UK plug seems to be a bit of a stretch in terms of durability - it works fine by now, but I don't know how long it will hold. On the other hand, bagel would still work, so in case the plug breaks, I will just take one of my adapters from the drawer.

USB charger(s) works just fine.

Overall, it is great gadget, very useful travel companion and being as simple as it is, I am very surprised it was not on the market 30 years ago :)

This has been one of my happiest purchases on amazon. I travel a lot and came across this gadget on youtube. Since then it's been amazing. It's super tiny and fits on the palm of my hand which makes it perfect for storing in my bag. It can charge 4 different outlets and 2 USBs at the same time. It also comes with a converter. I have zero complaints, and recommend this to all my friends. It's seriously worth the price.

Even if you don't travel there is always a time there isn't enough outlets. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Super useful for people who travel internationally a lot - or might want to! I live in the USA and have travelled to both England and Australia, and I wish this existed when I took those trips. Instead I bought it for a trip to DC and it worked fantastic for my girlfriend and I to charge our devices. Much better than having a bunch of single power adaptors for your various items that need charging.
