Great Little Top With Amazing Spin Times!

While I have broken 5 minutes on several occasions, the longest spin that I have recorded comes in at 4:51. Watch the video. It gets to the point where the top looks like it's standing still, but it's still going; completely memorizing.

Your spin surface is a big factor in getting long spin times and I have been using Eisco Labs Optical Glass Lens, Double Concave, 75mm Diameter, 20cm Focal Length as a spin station.

I found the top to be solidly made and well balanced. I am using this as a desk toy, so the hole in the handle doesn't add any value for me. I'd actually like it better without the hole. Mine could use a little cleaning up around the hole as there are little burrs remaining from the manufacturing process. That being said, the attention to detail is in line with the cost so I can forgive this minor issue.

Mine lives at work, but I could see traveling with this as part of my EDC if I had more of a longer commute or if I regularly traveled and needed a distraction.

If you are thinking about getting a top and don't want to spend $30+, then combine this top and the lens and you'll have a desk ready set for under $25 that will give you hours of enjoyment.

I have seen tops like this before and always loved messing with them. The ones I've played with before are SUPER stable and will spin for long periods of time. I thought that's what I was ordering... Maybe mine is simply defective but after trying to spin it on a level/stable surface multiple times I have determined that it is not balanced right. It spins at first and then slowly develops a wobble and falls over. For the price... I'm not impressed.
***UPDATE*** Not only is this a GREAT little top after all but this is a great seller to deal with. A day or two after I had posted my first review and asked the seller about the faulty top I recieved; I had a brand new one in the mail box. This one works great! LOOOONG spin times for just a little keychain trinket! Thanks for going the extra mile to win a satisfied customer. It wont be forgotten.

Great Stress reliever and conversation Starter

I love this thing, it spins very well and I love the fact that I can keep it on my keys, I bought some keychain hooks and now I can just unhook it and spin it. I can get it to spin for about 3 minutes and it is super easy to spin because it has a textured grip so you can really get a good grip to spin it really fast, I definitely recommend this to anyone

Well-designed and executed little keychain. Has some nice weight to it at 9 grams (a touch lighter than a AAA battery) that -- with the aid of the gnurled stem -- allows for some lengthy spins. I'm currently attempting to break my personal best of 2:36.

I'm big on small wallets and compact keys. In fact, my current set of keys include a standard keyfob, 1 key for work, 1 key for home, and a Tile square. I've yet to decide if it's worth the extra space/weight (...2:44!) to keep it on my keyring full time; every now and then the top positions itself in a way that adds a slight extra 'buldge' from the width of the top while in my front pocket. But if I do decide I don't like that, I'd simple just keep the top handy on my office desk for a little excitement during rather lackluster telephone conversations because, let's face it... $15 is a steal for anything that helps pass that kind of time.

Great little top! I love that it's a key chain, so you can spin anywhere you go! The top I received, the hole in the handle was drilled off-center which affected the spin time. But the seller had contacted me BEFORE I had even received it and mentioned that if there were any problems with the top, to let him know and he'd take care of it. I emailed the seller and mentioned the off-center hole in the handle-the seller sent me a new top right away and the new top was perfect! Excellent product, excellent service.

We were surprised at the size. Here is a picture of the size. But then we realized that you wouldn't want something too big if you were going to hang it on a backpack, belt loop, or when adding to car keys. The men in our family (and women) were mesmerized by it and continued to challenge each other with how long it would spin. We only could make it to 3 1/2 minutes but it may be our technique or that some tops may be off a bit on the balance. It is one of those unique gifts that I hope will be fun during times of waiting or boredom or provide some healthy challenges between friends and family.

My wife purchased this for me as a stocking stuffer this Christmas and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a nice size for actually attaching to a keychain (not too big to have in my pocket all the time). It's small but solid and seems well made. Hopefully the key clip will last!

My kids and I have had fun timing our spins and seeing if we could beat the "5 minute challenge" from the card that comes with it. After switching to a glass surface (we pulled a picture off the wall), I was able to get over 5 minutes on my second try. (see attached video)

I collect tops and have several of all shapes, sizes and materials. The idea for the grip was great but the balance was off. The first 15 seconds the top was very wobbly and though it eventually spun smoother, the time was never more than 1 min. Perhaps it was just the one delivered to me, but I was disappointed that it did not spin as promoted. I really was looking forward to this top to work.

This product is really well made and I have been able to spin it for a very long amount of time. It was a bit smaller than I expected it is about as big around as a nickel and about as tall as a quarter so it is really small and fits in your pocket on your keychain really well. I have never on the top that spins as well and made as perfectly as this one is and I have bought a lot of these tops.

Awesome top. Great customer service! The first top I received the hole for the key chain part was off center causing the top to wobble while spinning. However, the seller contacted me and warned me about such flaws and to keep an eye out when the top arrived. I emailed the seller and he sent me a brand new one free of charge! The second top came a few days later and it is perfect! spins for a long time balanced and is the perfect size to keep on your keys. If you are in the market for a cool metal top I would highly recommend this one!
