When I tried it on a potato it left ridges on potatoes and the rest of the potatoes it wouldn't even peel I'm going to buy an apple tomorrow and see how it works on them but I would not recommend this product

Made in China, plastic but works very well. Runs on AC or 4 AA batteries. Peeled potatoes, even odd shaped pretty well. I like it!
