I'm terrified of actually shaking a drink in this as I feel it will just take off from my hand like a laser guided missile intent on harming myself, my cats, my wife, or our walls and furniture. The materials are heavy duty and the quality of the device is great. Just wishing the handle was more of a screw on than a normal shaker due to my aforementioned concerns. The wife loves it though.

A good stocking stuffer for the guy that has everything for making cocktails. Not as sturdy as I thought it would be. But will go nice and he will enjoy the Maracas

Hmmm. So, when you shake the cocktail, there is nothing to secure the tin (silver cup) to the shaker cap if you hold it by the handle. The entire tin and the cocktail inside it will shoot across the room... leaving a big sticky mess (and probably broken glassware). Fun idea, but one of the dumbest designs ever.

I returned this item as I thought that it would be functional and was very poorly made. It's cute as a novelty item, but you definitely won't be mixing anything in this.
