To give an idea about the quality of the product, one of the propellers worked intermittently. Not worth the money at all.

I really had a great time flying this plane and checking out the videos after. I did not get a chance to try the fpv view controller because I did not have the cardboard VR viewer to use with your smartphone. I really think that should have been included. Other than that, I get really excited when I fly it and keep it In the air for awhile, and flying around with a pal makes it even better fighting for airspace.... all in all, I think it's a great concept that needs a little bit of tweaking to get 5 stars. So much fun!!!

Edit: I have since tried out the fpv motion control with an FPV cardboard viewer, and while I was really skeptical it would work, I have had to eat my words because it is an amazing way to experience what is already a fun and exhilarating airplane. Tilting your head to look up makes the plane go up and tilting your head down will cut the props and you'll start to go down. Left and right turns are easy with the right amount of head tilt too. I can't really emphasize how much fun it is to fly this plane. 5/5 stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Waste of money

I actually spent a great deal of time with Powerup product support before purchasing this RCplane. I bought 10 total paying the full amount. These items cannot be flown in areas with greater than 5 mi/hr wind speed. I live in an area that averages 10 mi/hr daily. I spent a lot of time making these items work, only to realize they will NEVER WORK. This was a TOTAL %$#@, and I am stuck with the units. As a TEACHER who is on a tight STEM BUDGET, this was disappointing to say the least. I feel actually lied to!!! Anyway, they are too heavy to tether to a fishing line to use indoors and I have now moved to proper RC drones i.e. copters. They are more flight flexible technology to teach with considering the weather conditions here in NE. I am not sure what to do with my paperweight units - I may sell on ebay.

Colossal letdown

I'd wanted a powerup kit for a long time. Saw the FPV version and instaordered (even with the absurd price). Full throttle and it won't climb. Part throttle, gentle toss, WON'T CLIMB. Every combination, every variation in elevator position, can't get this thing to do anything other than beep and crash. Alarm keeps going off. Just doesn't fly. Followed the video instruction exactly. It's what I expected after opening the box. It's HEAVY and way too big. I'll try to fold the other plane design later. But this was a colossal letdown. WAAAY too expensive for what you get. The only thing we found amusing in the kit was the google cardboard. Which is fun! But using with this FPV powerup seems gimmicky at best. Been flying RC of every type and flavor for the last decade. Never been completely defeated until PowerUp FPV. I've had LOADS of fun with E-flite U2980 UMX Radian BNF Airplane
. If you add the cost of a cheap BNF transmitter, you're right in the ballpark of the FPV POWERUP.

No Fun, Terrible Support and Troubleshooting

Followed all the instructions, but the firmware update failed around 70%, and the whole thing just died after that. Never got to try it. I tried scouring through the manufacturer's website, but their troubleshooting documents were TERRIBLE (how about a list of of symptom and then instructions on what to do? Nope!). When you call their support line, nobody answers except for the SKYPE LADY asking to leave a message. Seriously, this company is using SKYPE to take support calls. That tells you how professional they are. Seemed like it'd be a fun toy, but now my 5yo, 4yo and me (40yo) have wasted at least two hours of our time and are extremely disappointed.

I bought this for my son's birthday. I followed all the instructions and the unit would not charge - the small led was green but the lights on the front never lit. Requested a replacement from Amazon. The replacement had the same issue. Returned both. I really wanted this to work, and I think many do, but both of ours failed. I will keep an eye on this company's products because the idea is brilliant.

Never powered on and terrible customer service

I rarely write a review for any item, good or bad. But I need to share my experience so you don't make the same mistake.

I purchased this item a few months ago. After we returned from our summer trip, my 7 year old son and I opened the box and wanted to give it a try.

The battery would charge, but the plane never turned on. After 3-4 weeks of extremely slow back and forth with customer service, they sent me a new battery (I had to remind them twice, they apparently had forgotten to send it).

The new battery comes and we have the same issue. I write to them again and tell them it must be the plane and asked them what they could do. After 1-2 weeks, they finally answer me simply to ask if I had properly inserted the battery. I replied to them and haven't heard from them since (approx 1 week).

Don't buy this airplane. If there's any issue with it, you're out of luck and your kid will be pretty miserable. Terrible experience with these guys.

This is a blast to fly, lots of fun. You need to watch the videos to make sure you get everything right but once that's done it's great!! Had it out a few times now and fly's great once you get the hang of it, great fun!!!

Don't bother. Will not charge batteries. Called support. Sent me 2 new batteries. They charged once. Will no longer charge any of the 3 batteries. This thing is useless now. Flew it a total of three times. Seems to be a common problem.
