How did a watersports company go from building inflatables to building a speaker?

We hired and worked with a lot of experts in the business to help us design and build the speaker we wanted. One of the things we believe we have at WOW is good taste and an eye for a good product. We came up with our vision of what we wanted in a speaker based on our extensive experience of how people use products on the water and in the outdoors and we worked with a professional team that could turn that vision into a great product. We have an office in the U.S. and near the production facilities in China so we were able to work closely with the design side in the U.S. and the manufacturing side in China on a day to day basis. We were perhaps overly careful and methodical to make sure we didn't make any mistakes, which is why this project has taken us over 3 years to complete!

What are the main features of the WOW-SOUND Speaker?

We are excited to bring you more than 50 hours of battery life, more than any other bluetooth speaker on the market. WOW-SOUND is waterproof, floats and comes with 360-degree HI-FI sound and 360-degree bright LED lights for visibility at night.

Do I need to download an app to listen to my speaker?

No, the WOW-SOUND speaker will connect easily to any bluetooth device. Use existing music apps on your phone. No special apps are needed to listen to the WOW-SOUND speaker.

Can I drop my speaker into the water?

Yes, the WOW-SOUND Speaker is waterproof up to 3 feet (1 meter) for 30 minutes. The great news is that it floats, so you don't have to worry about diving to retrieve your speaker when you're in the water.

How long does the WOW-SOUND speaker battery last?

WOW-SOUND has 50 hours of battery life. The battery life varies on the volume you are listening at as well as the type of music you are listening to. It will depend on how much you use the speaker, but it is well equipped to last in the outdoors for any activities including watersports activities, camping and much more. The 360-degree LED lights make it so that you can use it any time of day or night.

Can I connect to other speakers?

Yes, the WOW-SOUND speaker includes the TrueWireless Bluetooth function so you can connect it to an additional WOW-SOUND speaker for booming stereo sound giving you the ultimate outdoor audio experience for pool parties, social occasions, camping and more.

What is IP67 Rated Mean?

IP67 means that the speaker is protected from dust, dirt and sand entering the speaker and that the speaker is waterproof down to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.

This item worked fine in an enclosed environment. It would not turn up loud enough to use on the boat while everyone was floating in the water. I would like to return it, but I gave it as a gift that puts me outside the return window. My personal little JBL did better than this unit.

Good Idea, solid build. Lacking in sound quality. It is not a very loud speaker and it lacked any bass or clarity. At slightly above half way you could hear the sound getting distorted. My wife, who is no where close to being an audiophile, heard the music as I was testing the WOW speaker and commented "that sounds terrible".

What is also annoying is that when you actually put the WOW floating speaker into the pool about one third of each speaker is actually submerged (except the one on top of course). You can imagine what that does to the already underwhelming sound. If the pool is flat then it works ok even with portions of the speakers submerged but if you have the return jets on or just making any small waves then you get sound that goes up and down as the level of the submerged portion of the speakers rises and falls with the pool movement. Not sure how the idea of let's sink the speakers when it floats made the the final design but it is another flaw that cuts at the product. They do include a speaker float but why would I buy a floating speaker to have to worry about keeping an ugly speaker float around just to keep the speakers out of the water. That makes it a speaker raft. I think a better idea would be to have a bottom part you can attach over the cup holder thing to add more buoyancy so the speakers do not get submerged.

I really wanted to like this product. I wanted to float it in the pool so the sound would be closer to where we were and I wouldn't have to blast the music from the patio just to hear it. I was even going to buy two of them to get the stereo effect if this one meet my needs, unfortunately it fell flat for me. I understand the main appeal is that it floats and is waterproof but the bad sound, submerged speakers and needing a raft if you want the speakers out of the water are major flaws hard to overlook and do not warrant the 200 dollar price tag - needs to be half that.

I bought this for my brother to take boating. He said the SPEAKER WORKS GGRRREEAATTT!!!! Had it on the water, nothing stops it! Sounds superb, lots of bass! Said he was totally amazed had it floating in the water, splasing it, was awesome! Said he and his family give it all high marks!

Battery is Achilles' heel

Battery gasps out after maybe 2 1/2 or three songs at loud volume. When battery for this speaker makes the water around it jumps unfortunately you've got about eight minutes of this then you can barely hear it This renders many other outstanding features (and the high ticket price associated) moot

Man, this thing is loud! I love it. Pairing is super easy and the battery lasts a long time between charges. Perfect for pool party time or just relaxing by the pool with some smooth tunes. Did I mention it's pretty loud?!
