It came in pretty fast (it actually came in an hour before I was going to go out so I decided to take persephone with) and the color is exactly like the rose gold in the picture. It's a sturdy bag and I had no issue with screwing on the bubble window properly. Lots of people complimented my bag and were even surprised to see a kitty inside of it and kept asking me where I got it from and how much compared to all the other expensive versions of this carrier. I had bought a little soft blanket to put in the bag so it's more nice and soft for my kitty and I also bought a pack of wee wee pads so I could put one in there just in case even though I am aware that cats can hold it for a long period of time. I like that there is a hook inside where I can hook persephone's harness onto it so she doesn't bounce around a lot and if I open the bag she won't be able to escape. My cat liked the bag a lot and was calm in it she also like peeking out the window to see what was going on and almost fell asleep in it too! It is so nice and easy to take her out now versus the over the shoulder carrier. Ps. If you need some perspective my kitty is 6 months and 5.8 lbs and this carrier is supposedly supposed to hold up to 15 lbs. She has a lot of room in there and remains lightweight.

A fun way to bring your cat with you

Our cat is indoor only since we live in an apartment near busy streets. She loves to be outside, though, and this backpack has been a fun way to take her out with us on walks and hikes. The dome allows her to get a good look around and she can lie down and look out a mesh window on the side as well. There's pockets on the other side where you can stow treats, water, or other stuff for your kitty. We like to take her out of the backpack while we're out in nature and put her on a leash so that she can feel grass or sand under her paws. She really enjoys the whole experience!

We love this backpack! It's light and very comfortable to wear. Well-made. There was some weird smell but it was gone in 2 days. If your cat is a box fan like ours, he/she would really enjoy the backpack. We never had any issues with a window popping out. It is very secure. Our cat feels very safe in this backpack. We have a fenced yard but she never felt safe enough to step outside until we got this carrier. Ventilation is great! However, would not recommend carrying your pet in this backpack in a summer when it's really hot. She may get overheated because of your body's heat since it's a backpack. We have 2 cats. The larger one who is over 13 pounds doesn't fit as nicely as the smaller one. He has hard time moving around in the backpack. So if your cat is under 12 pounds and loves to get into every drawer or a box, she would definitely love this backpack. The photo of two cats is to give an idea of their sizes if don't know your cat's exact weight.

In terms of durability and safety, I think this does nicely. What's more important is how the cat loves it. To be honest he does not like being captured and placed into it, however once inside he is calm. He loves sticking paw out of side holes and he LOVES sticking his head in the bubble and seeing. The smooshing of his face against the plastic does leave a bit of steam, which is hard to see through, but he is smart enough to move around when it becomes too cloudy. I believe this may be more problematic with a dog that would steam, drool and slobber, visibility might be an issue. I sit this on a small step stool to drive so he can see everything,while belted in, and toss it on my back to walk at the park. He seems to really enjoy it, enough to rub up and love on his carrier when he gets home. Before he would run and hide from the carrier. People seem to adore his little face in the window. Great purchase.

GOt this for Christmas! And my kitty loves it! Perfect for indoor cats who loves to look outside. My little kitty loves getting in the backpack to look around even when the backpack is just on the floor, she gets into it and rest inside. Easy to put together and safe to carry around. Perfect gift to a friend who loves their cats or just for you if you love your cat and would want to carry your furry baby around.

My Dog Loves This!

My 10lb dog loves this! I walk a lot and when we are out and she is tired of walking on her short legs, she begs me to pick her up to put her in the bag. When it's time to leave and she thinks she's coming, or wants to come, she climbs into the bag by herself (see picture, we had a play date where we weren't taking the bag, but she got in it because she knew she was coming with me and wanted me to hurry up).

In frigid temps, I put a hot water bottle in with her to keep her warm and she loves it. As she grew, the bubble became too low down in the back for her comfort, she prefers to have her head stick out the zipper top so she can see and smell everything without obstruction. She only curls up in it when she is extremely tired or cold.

I've had this for almost a year now and it still holds up pretty well, except the mesh water bottle holder on the side has ripped a little. It would be good to have a chest strap in addition to the two shoulder straps, and another mesh holder or closed pocket on the other side as there is only one place to store stuff. A storage section underneath the bag could be good too. There is no place to carry anything but the water in addition to the pet.

I'd definitely order another one when this one falls apart.

This backpack was perfect for my furbaby! She fits comfortably in it and loves joining me for walks. The rose gold color is beautiful and perfect for my rose gold obsession! I would recommend this product to anyone who is thinking of buying a backpack carrier. It is sturdy and comfortable on the shoulders.

Too small and uncomfortable on back

Okay, here we go with this. When this arrived, it smelled of cigarettes as other people have noted in their reviews. I left it unzipped for it to both air and for my cat to explore it while we were at home. That smell took a few days to finally wear off. The backpack itself has a cool look to it, indeed looking like something fit for an astronaut. However, I had several issues with this backpack.

Namely, if your pet is 9 pounds or heavier, they will not fit in this. My cat is about 9 pounds right now and she was not comfortable in this for a car trip. She seemed a little squished. The back panel of the backpack began to bend shortly after I bought it so it was leaning against my cat, reducing the space in the backpack even more. The backpack is really uncomfortable to carry, the bottom part of the backpack feels heavy when its pressed against your back. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this backpack for medium to large animals or for long term carrying (if you plan on carrying your pet on your back) because it'll be uncomfortable for both you and your pet.

Allows us to Give Our Cat New Adventures While Still Being an Indoor cat.

Our cat Steve likes being outside but he is an indoor cat. We bought this pack hoping to give him new adventures and stimulation. We were pleased with the quality of the pack. The part against your back is similar to a regular backpack with adjustable straps. The outer portion is solid plastic with three air holes on the bottom. The porthole also has 3 air vents. The sides of the pack are mesh at the bottom so when Steve was done standing, he could still look out while laying down. The bottom is reinforced with a removable firm platform that velcros down. Steve enjoys going out but he's good for only about 1.5 miles, then he's done. He also does not like to walk at night; he meows a lot at night while walking. Getting him into the backpack the first time was a challenge but subsequently, he went in easily.
