The straws are so great! My son tested their durability unintentionally by dropping it from various heights over a concrete floor at a restaurant last week, and they just bounced right off. I carry them around in my purse, have them in my car, and generally test their durability daily without issue -I've had them for around a month and use them daily. They are super pretty (I got the mixed pack and really like each color, so I purchased the green for a friend and am thinking of getting the teal for home). They also have a great mouth feel. I was using metal straws, but I worried that my toddler son would accidentally jam it into his mouth when trying to drink, the glass straws are lighter and smoother, and with the multi-color, we each have our own to be in charge of when at a restaurant -that way they don't get left behind. The little brushes are great and they give you TWO, so if you're like me and misplace things frequently, you have a back up. Highly recommend these.

I love these straws!! They arrived quickly, and intact. The ends are rounded, and comfortable to use. I store them in a jar that I put a silicone cupcake liner in so they don't hit hard if I drop it inside.

They are the perfect length for standard pint glasses, including pint mason jars, but they are a little long for 8 oz cups, so keep that in mind. If the cups you want to use are larger then the standard pint glass, there are longer straws available on amazon.

My only wish is that the pink one was a little brighter so that it didn't so closely resemble the clear one. Also, it would be pretty.

Cleaning is simple. You can just run them through the dishwasher - scrub a little if you drank something like a smoothie, but it's really easy to wash to wash them by hand:
1. Fill a cup with soapy water
2. Put straws in, then flip them over in the cup so that the entirety of the straws have been soaped.
3. After dipping the provided pipe cleaner into the soapy water, scrub the inside of straws.
4. Flip straws again and repeat the scrubbing.
5. Rinse them thoroughly with fresh water
6. Lay them on a towel to dry. I prop another towel under one end (like a pillow in bed) so that the water can drain faster.

These were great for the first six months

These were great for the first six months; however, in the past week alone 3 have broken, they'll basically just break in our hands at this point. Because of that I wouldn't recommend them for kids, they could easily break and possibly cut them, or even worse they could end up with broken class in their mouth. I don't have that issue because I don't have kids, but considering I'm just one person using them they'd probably break early if it was a family using them. When I'm down to one straw I'll be ordering more, but not from this brand.

Additionally, my straws came wrapped in plastic, so if you're getting these for the eco-friendly aspect of it you should take that into consideration.

If you rely on the "Shatter Resistant" description, do not buy. They break when dropped from one inch on a wooden floor.

Been using these straws now for about 3 weeks and I'm a fan. I use them with my toddlers 1.5 & 3.5 yo. We use them with the take and toss straw cups in place of disposable straws. Decided to try these & so far so good! It's helped my 3 yo to stop chewing on the straws (a bad habit she picked up using plastic straws). They're also wide enough to use for a yogurt smoothie. I was hesitant to try these because they're glass & possibly hard to clean but neither had turned out to be an issue...they barely clink & are very sturdy even in the hands of toddlers. I rinse them in hot water and run the wire pipe cleaner tool that was included. I'm minus one star because I'm still a little cautious given they are glass...despite my confidence in writing this I do worry about what could happen if one did break...

No more plastic straws

These glass straws are the answer I've been looking for. Concerned about the volume of plastic in our environment, I tried metal straws, but they were uncomfortable to use. Volume was too wide for anything but the thickest smoothie. The glass are great in use, apparently quite resistant to breaking. The little satchel that comes with for carrying, however, is pretty much useless. It's over an inch too short for the straws, and offers little in the way of padding or protection.

Make a super gift, fun to use and can go right into the dishwasher. They're all translucent except for one dark cobalt one which doesn't seem to match the set. Excellent for the environment to replace disposable plastic straws. The oceans are filling up with plastic!

Everyone in my household got one their Christmas stocking during the recent holiday season. So having each straw individually wrapped and in a different color turned out to be a great bonus. They feel substantial, transport liquids and clean up well, and hope up well when dropped--though I don't plan to make a habit out of the latter. Plus, you know, they're environmentally the right thing to do. [Now if I could just get into the habit of saying 'I brought my old straw,' when I order drinks in restaurants.]
