I bought this for my son's birthday and after hand washing it one time the paint is chipping off! It is a fun mug but not worth buying!

Heartbreaking...

This product is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever bought, because I had such high hopes. It's Bob, and one of his paintings on the side of a coffee cup that activates when you pour coffee in it. Sounds awesome, right? When you pour coffee, it looks really great, when it's cold, it's just a black background, but it still has Bob's smiling face on it.

Here's the problem: this is the most fragile coffee cup artistry I've ever seen. It takes virtually nothing to scratch the picture on the front of this cup. And it doesn't have to be the transitional picture that scratches; Bob's face gets scratched extremely easily. I did not wash it in the dishwasher. Always by hand. At first, I washed it like I wash other specialty coffee cups, and put it in the dryer rack. I guess it touched something else in the rack, and got a scratch. Alright, a little ridiculous, but I'll be more careful. Other cups don't have that problem, but whatever, I can deal, because it's a cool cup.

Then I started to wash it, dry it right away, then put it away. I'm still finding it with more scratches while it's been seemingly sitting alone in a cupboard. Aside from inventing an anti-gravity chamber and keeping it suspended in the air where it will touch no other solid material, there's no way to save this cup.

Now I have a decision to make; do I keep the cup and watch it slowly deteriorate and hurt me every time I look at it, or throw it away? Ultimately, I think I may just throw it away. If you're used to being hurt by the people you love, then this cup is perfect.

Peeling image

I was so excited about this mug....but after 4 uses Bob Ross's face started peeling away. This has not been in the dishwasher and I have not used a sponge. I basically drink tea and rinse the cup right after use and hand rub soap on it.

The background on this mug chipped off some washing it under the sink with just water... after the first wash. Cute mug, but will probably just have Bob on it after a month at this rate.

I gifted this mug to my husband, and it clearly says to hand wash. He used it once. I hand washed with a soft sponge, and the whole design started peeling off. I'm so disappointed!

When I got the order in the mail I was so excited to open it up and use it... But then I heard it rattle and I realized the package did not have the word FRIAILE on it... When I opened the box my mug was destroyed and now I can't even use it to drink my coffee. The background works but it is still destroyed... unacceptable

This is a terrible product. As you can see from the pic I posted the paint is already peeling off this mug. This is after ONE USE! Do not buy!!
