Product Description

Soarigami is a patented portable armrest extender that works on most armrests, doubling the usable space. The origami-inspired design makes the device thin and sleek, perfect for the savvy traveler's carry-on. Made from recyclable plastic and leatherette parts (not paper). The device clips onto an existing armrest with 'clamps', and the screws adjust the width to accommodate a wide range of armrest sizes. Savvy insiders will know that the device can be turned around so the smaller side is facing the user; this allows for more space around the mid-section, which is always welcome! Soarigami is a perfect gift for anyone who travels, goes to the movies, or finds themselves stuck in an armrest war. To use, mutual permission between two passengers is always the way to go. Unfold savvier skies with Soarigami!

Features

  • Solves the problem of fighting for armrests!
  • Simply clamps onto an existing armrest to provide you and your neighbor your own space (with a divider in between).
  • Fully adjustable and works on most armrests from 1.5 inches to at least 2.75 inches in width.
  • Tapered wings do not cut into your side (insider tip: install the device "reverse").
  • Folds flat, stylish, streamlined, and lightweight (8 ounces).

i love this. I bought this about 6 months ago and the final straw was when I got into my seat it was evident that the man sitting by the window decided before the doors to the plane were shut he was taking ownership of the arm rest and his elbows were already 5-6 inches over into my space. I'm smaller in stature and I am perfectly ok not having any of the armrest. What I DO care about is how some people (Sorry guys but my experience is that it is typically men. I never have a problem sitting next to a woman) think it is perfectly ok to shove their elbows into my side. There have been times that it really hurts, but what is the worst is if I don't play defense and keep my arms down, I am being elbowed in more sensitive areas. I fly a fair amount and this has happened a lot. Needless to say, the guy next to me on that particular flight was not happy when I finally put the SkyMiles magazine on my side of the armrest so he could no longer jab me.

Even if you do not purchase this, please be mindful that jabbing someone in the side really starts hurting. When someone jabs my husband he does not even notice it, so clearly all people are different. But I make sure to remind him that because it does not bother him, he better not do it, lol!

Great concept. I was sold on it. Usability, I think it falls on that end.

The concept is great. It works using the seats at the airport. The unfortunate thing I had found was that airplane seats don't give you enough room to begin with and when you use this you give up 2 inches of room for your seat and I don't think people are down for that. I tried it with my wife sitting next to me and it was awkward and plus some of the new planes have skinny arm rests...

This is one of the coolest yet most useful travel accessories I have purchased. If only this were available when i was a kid traveling back east to visit family. It would have saved me many arguments and fights with siblings on long plane flights and probably would have made my parents happier too. Great product and cool styling. used it the other day on a short flight for business and my seat neighbor liked it too. Hopefully she will buy one as well. I think I might have to get another one for the other arm rest when I am stuck in the dreaded middle seat.

What a great product! If you fly as much as I ...

What a great product! If you fly as much as I do ( three times a week or more ) there will always be the battle of the armrests. It does not matter if you are sitting next to the window, aisle or in that oh so comfortable middle seat you usually have to share an armrest. Soarigami has been great to use on my weekly flights! It is light, compact, and folds up taking little to no room in my laptop bag. Soarigami is also EXTREAMLY easy to set up and use. It conviently fits and is adjustable to every armrest size.
Since I have been using my Soarigami my co-armrest passengers have loved this design and the concept of having our own space a room! This has been great for my long flights and overall comfortability.

Quality Product That Works

Quality product. I bought one for myself and after using it, I bought a second one for my dad who travels often. If you're like me and enjoy having space to rest your arms when you fly, this is what you've been missing. Fairly easy to carry as well which is always a plus.

It's not a great armrest or extender by any means

!st off the seats are so close the flap digs into your side. Second the arm rest are short and your device is to small in length. Unfortunately I wrote my name on the device so I'm not sure I can send it back(in ink). My spouse & and I really tried to use it but took it off after a very short time. I'm 250lbs, my spouse 150lb. We flew Southwest.

Sorry to say, but it's not a great armrest or extender by any means. Sorry I put my name on it because I would return it.

Great product and adjustable features allow it to be used on many different sized armrests. Worked great on a long haul flight from Newark to Munich and from Frankfurt back. I'm a big guy and did not experience issues as others state that if you're larger person it cuts into your side.

Uncomfortable

If you like cheap pieces of plastic and metal bolts poking you in the side the entire flight, this is for you. First shipment was missing the cover, second was correct but uncomfortable. Lasted on the arm for maybe a minute before my daughter and I both decided to remove it.

Obviously it's not as comfortable as having the entire existing armrest to yourself

Having a Soarigami on my redeye made a world of difference! At first I thought it would cut into my side, but I put it on according to the insider tips (with the nose facing me), and there was plenty of room. Obviously it's not as comfortable as having the entire existing armrest to yourself, but as a fair solution for two users to share, it's better than expected. When the device is folded up, it fits nicely in my laptop bag, and it's so light that I can't feel any difference in my bag's weight. What a neat little product--so simple but practical and cool. I can't wait to take it to the movies.

Perfect for making travel more comfortable!

This product is extremely well made! It is thin enough to easily fit in my bag but still very sturdy for use as an arm rest. This is perfect not only to extend arm rest space with strangers, but even when traveling with friends or family. I purchased two for the rare situation when I am stuck in a middle seat!
