Manufactured by MODS International of Appleton Wisconsin using a new sea container as the structural shell. MODS starts with certified new containers, not first or second use units. The tiny home unit can be placed on either 12" concrete sonotube footings (10 total, one every 8 feet along perimeter) or a solid concrete slab. Requires bottom access sewer connection. This standard unit has side water and electric connections. Includes bedroom, shower, toilet and sink plus a small kitchenette and living area. Large patio door open up the living area. Price includes kitchen appliances. Flat fee charge of $4500 required for freight shipping to anywhere in the contiguous United States. Approximate weight: 12,500lbs gross. Great Idea for Someone Just Starting Out

I haven't purchased one of these, but all of the negative comments infuriate me. Everyone is always so negative, whiny and pissy these days. Why not speak to the positive benefit of this product. This is a great little starter for someone just out of high school or college, or as a guest house or Air BnB rental. There are some challenges in some states, but there are states with communities exclusively for tiny homes. You just have to do your research. And the quality of a container can't be beat. It's an option for some to have a roof over their head for a low cost.

Consult with your local government agency first ...

While these definitely serve their intended multi-faceted purposes, please make sure that your local building inspection department and/or State does not have any restrictions to prevent your from buying this home.
Because these homes are factory-built, most likely they will require inspection while being built in the plant to assure compliance to the requirements. Also, keep in mind that there is also infrastructure that must go under these homes. You just can't drop them on the dirt and move in. These are heavy and they will sink if the ground underneath gets wet.

In short, do you homework (pun intended) before spending your hard-earned money. It would really suck to have one of these homes delivered to your site, just to find out it doesn't meet the State and/or local building codes and ordinances and you can't set in down, let alone move in. And they won't let you leave it on the street while you get the issues sorted out.

There seem to be no window or exit in the bedroom. Maybe its me but I would like a way out. I agree with the the other comments on the TV and really on the bathroom all-in-one pod.

Few things I would like to point out.... For just under 40k, You should have the max amount of photos you can show. This unit would be better with split ac unit. This building has way to many windows. This unit has no place for flat screen tvs. This unit could update the bathroom with all in one fiberglass bathroom pods.
