Product Description

YETI Panga 100 Airtight Waterproof Submersible Duffel Bag, Storm Gray

We built the Hopper Flip 12 for solo expeditions that take you down wild paths. But we know that your adventures aren't confined to any one journey or pursuit, and the Hopper Flip needed to evolve to become an essential part of every outdoor trek. So let us introduce the Hopper Flip 8 and Hopper Flip 18. They're over-insulated, engineered to be tough, and tested to survive in extreme conditions. But these new sizes also allow you to pack for the adventure ahead, whether you're spending a couple hours in the blind or need a weekend's supply of cold ones on hand.

Features

  • A 100% dry duffel. But definitely not a cooler. Hydrolok zipper makes sure water stays out so your gear stays bone-dry, no matter how torrential it gets.
  • U-dock the terminal end of your hydrolok zipper that ensures a completely airtight seal
  • Thickskin shell made of high-density nylon and thick tpu lamination to be puncture- and abrasion-resistant
  • Dryhaul straps in the hands or on the back, they’re as durable as they are comfortable
  • Metallock hardware this hardware can take on smacks and whacks without breaking

Came in clutch when I needed it most.

Went on a boating trip on Santa Cruz Island off Ventura, Ca. Had to make and emergency trip home in the middle of the afternoon due to an incoming storm, and hit 8ft wind swell in a 24ft BW. The boat was over weighted and all the gear was at the bow to even out the weight. When we got back to harbor, everyone's gear had soaked through, except my bag, with all my photography and computer equipment intact.

Surprisingly comfortable to carry as a backpack duffle, even with 80lbs of equipment inside.

I have yet to need to fully submerse it, but let's hope it doesn't come to that.

I bought this bag after my Oakley duffle got soaked while traveling to Florida. It's a great bag wish it had more pockets and also a shoulder stap would be nice because when I travel I carry a back pack and a duffle. Finally was able to put it to the test had it out in the pouring rain in the back of the truck for about 6 hours also drove with it in the back of the for about 30 miles got to the hotel and everything was completely dry couldn't be happier.

Holes holes holes

Really disappointed in this bag. The bag has some small holes in it. I honestly don't know if they were there when I bought it because I was leaving for Afghanistan and this came in the mail same day. I had like 20 mins to quickly pack it then throw it a on a plane. After I got off the plane I dragged it through some Afghanistan sand to my room and there it sat for a while until I noticed the holes. The holes aren't even in a spot that would contact the ground when I dragged it as you can see by the dirt marks. I'm guessing it came with the holes and I didn't notice. Called the warranty team and they said it wasn't covered and offered a 30% discount off a new bag. Had the bag 4 months when I noticed the hole. Extremely disappointed in Yeti. This bag seemed tough but if dragging it through some sand caused those holes then apparently not. If the holes were already there when I got the bag then that's a whole other can of worms. Either way I got screwed.

My Panga 28 arrived with a small hole in it. I wonder if Yeti Authorized is selling genuine Yeti products?

Maybe overpriced, but definitely "over-engineered".

This may at first seem like an unbelievable price for a duffel bag, but it is pretty awesome. Very well built, as you would expect from yeti. Same components you'll find on the hopper, and what makes the hoppers so much better than the other Coolers is their zipper. Which is the same one used in the Panga. If you need a waterPROOF bag, that you can depend on to keep your stuff dry, this is an awesome choice.

Awesome bag

While I have yet to test it on a rough trip, it is typical of Yeti products, way over-engineered. When zipped tight, it is airtight enough that I can stand on it. I declined my neighbor's suggestion to let him drive his truck over it however. Overall, it is great if you need a waterproof bag.

Amazing bag!

This bag is amazing! I own tons of duffels, Duluth Pack, Patagonia, North Face and Cabelas and none of them holds a candle to this in terms of quality. I tote around a very expensive camera with a long lens out in the boat in remote places in Ontario and I've been looking for a bag I could tuck this in during transient rains. This clearly is going to be 100% waterproof though I haven't tested it yet. I got the 50, which is perfect for my camera.

Failed first day of use in field

Zipper failure, so loss of water/air tight feature after only 1 day in field. Day one of 12 day 180 mile river (canoe) trip northern Canada fly-in zipper failure. Huge stressor!!

Luckily (or proper planning:-), I had all gear inside YETI stored in Seal-line dry bags and an additional 40L seal-line zipper bag.. We probably had around 7 portages daily. What I like about yeti bag, built durable, great backpack straps, 100L YETI bag fit perfectly within 17' Old-town canoe..

Obvious issue, no point having, or spending this kind of money for a product that does not perform its primary function

I absolutely love this bag, tough construction, waterproof and air tight. since its air tight I put it vertically and sit on it when there is no place to sit, it's comfortable too.

It's expensive but its quality product that I hope will last a long time, so far so good. Definitely recommend it
