Well to start off people I will tell you there is nothing and I mean nothing like it on the market. I mean they have plain Jane back pack coolers on the market but seriously nothing like this beast! 2 huge compartments 1 on each side of back pack cooler and one in the back totaling 3 extra compartments. Plenty of areas to hang your equipment off of. I had about 50 pounds in total weight maybe more I was hauling with that Mule! I always abuse my equipment cause that's the way I am. If it can handle my abuse then I feel this back pack cooler is good to go which I feel it is. So I stuffed it with ICE about 10 pounds of ice and about over a 2 day period of Drinks and food. Please understand. It might look small when you first open it BUT it's not. Its got plenty of room for your drinks food and ice. It's deep down in there with plenty of space. I mean this isnt meant for a week long excursion or even 4 or five days. The ice just won't last. I ran a test and saw that the ice lasted at least a 2 day period when I finally dumped out water and ice. I figured I had about a half day cooling left in there also it was about 95 out and humid those 2 days. I hauled on that ice mule cooler the Boss all my gear which was a lot. It was comfortable for me no problem to haul. I trekked 2 long miles in The grueling heat and dense forest before I hit the beach. This is truly a great back pack cooler and I'm happy I decided to go with it! I never had a cooler with me on my fishing excursions ( I'm a surf fisherman meaning I fish off the beach only. Due to the issue of plain Jane back pack coolers on market, that wasn't doing it for me. NOT ANYMORE! Now I have the ICEMULE COOLER THE BOSS! It's awesome for me and should be for you also. I only gave it a 4 outta 5 star for sturdiness and durability ONLY cause the elastic straps that cross run through the loops on the back pouch broke. Actually the one loop came undone and IT WAS TOTALLY MY FAULT. I OVER STUFFED IT SERIOULY. So the loop came undone broke. This cooler can handle much trust me. Like I said I abuse my equipment. The price point is on. I know it sounds like a high price point but when you buy quality you always pay! Plus there are other coolers on market for same price point. Compare them and you will choose the Icemule cooler the Boss everytime! That's a promise. Do the comparison yourself. This is the cooler to have. ICEMULE COOLER THE BOSS. I love this cooler and you should also.

There is absolutly nothing we dislike about this cooler!! We have taken it to the beach and hiking. It distributes the weight perfectly while carrying equipment, and kids all at the same time! The best part, is keeps everything super cold and dry!!! Love all the compartments with waterproof zippers! Most definetly worth every penny!

Unfortunately this bag leaks from the roll. I followed the instructions perfectly (fold don't roll, etc.) and if you have water in it and it flips over, it will leak. I tested and retested with different closing methods and it fails each time. This is too bad because it is a great bag and kept ice for 3 days in the South Georgia heat.

The IceMule Boss backpack is awesome. Its comfortable to wear, it has enough room to hold a day or two of food and drinks. To me it performs better with ice then ice packs. I guess that's why they call it the IceMule. It is pricey but they always say you get what you pay for.

So far very pleased with the design, performance, and durability. It's a dry bag and a cooler in one with the added benefit of extra storage pockets, luggage fasteners and the ability to carry the entire load on your back. The zippers are tough and you have to apply the lube provided to get them working. For multi-day trips, add air through the valve and inflate like a sleeping pad to extend the performance.
