i got this doll because it's hard to find a serious looking barbie and i just really like the face. i do wish they would use Made to Move bodies for collector dolls instead of this weird hybrid body, that has less articulation points, and also the annoying elastic hips. her clothes are actually nice and you could use them as separates. i ended up rebodying the doll on a MtM body anyway. worth it at clearance price, maybe not worth the original price.

What no bow?

She is beautiful but a little to clean and missing a few key elements to her character! Why give her bandages that are clean and clothes like she hasn't been on a raiding adventure yet? Sad to say, this young lady is also missing her signature bow, arrows and quiver. It is okay though! I plan on making some modifications and I am happy to have a great starting slate.

Nice doll, lots of articulation

I really like this doll. I can't say how well she represents the character of Lara Croft because I don't know anything about that. I bought her for the articulation and the fact that her hands are not totally open like most made-to-move dolls. She can hold things in her hands which is exactly why I purchased her. She does not have the range of motion that other made-to-moves have...she doesn't bend at the torso and there is no movement at the thigh. I still am very happy with her. She will work very well for my purposes. I can see how she would be a fun doll for play with kids.

Why pink pickaxe?

Just got it today in the mail and first of all, the box wasn't that damaged (other than 2x small damaged corners and a lot smudge marks on the front and back that are not that noticeable from a far but only when you're seeing it up close). Secondly, the doll. She looks great and almost is fully articulated (her elbows don't rotate just moves up and down and chest body is like the usual body molds). Comes with a map (which is mostly made of paper) and the pickaxe but it sucks that it is not the red one (in fact it's pick. Why pink?!).

What can I say, this head sculpt and paint looks nothing like the old Lara or the "new," younger Lara. That aside this is not an appealing doll face. I mean, she is just hard to look at. Her body doesn't have upper arm articulation or articulation at the top thigh and considering her abilities in the game, it's hard to pose this doll. She also has a pointed toe, or arched feet, why is a girl running around in tombs all day running around on her toes, c'mon Mattel. The accessories are cool and nice but that's about it. I purchased this doll because I'm both a fan of the game and Barbie dolls. I don't regret my purchase but this dolls has few redeeming features. I can't even say I'm disappointed because I knew she looked terrible before I bought her, I am disappointed at the design and approved output. Thumbs down.

I like the dolls head sculpt. She tends to have a face that can be anyone and not necessarily Lara Croft. I love her outfit completely. The accessories are an added bonus. She does come with a certificate of authenticity and a doll stand. Nice to add to a collection.

I do miss the days when Barbies didn't have those annoying visible leg and arm joints, but I'm a HUGE Tomb Raider fan so I jumped at this one. They gave her sculpted shoulders unlike most Barbies, so it's a win in my book!

The recipient of this doll liked it very much. A more 'action' oriented superhero kind of doll than the classic nurse or teacher barbies. She very well recreates the look of the character from the games. The only drawback I could add is that the girl was very dissapointed that Lara didn't come with a bow, since that was a major part of the game.
