A+ Product that can be Useful for any Manual Therapist
by Alex Sarazen (5 out of 5 stars)
April 24, 2018

As a student in a doctor of chiropractic program, I sit in a chair upwards of 7-9 hours a day. After using the neck hammock for a time period of 15 minutes during a break hour, after school, before I go to bed, my body feels rejuvenated. My neck is frequently in a flexed position for a greater majority of the day, so having an apparatus that does cervical traction has been absolutely incredible. Like the company says on the website, this product does not replace manual therapy, but it most certainly can help relieve acute and some chronic symptoms. After lying in the hammock for a short period of time, you can feel immediate increase in range of motion. I love how portable This product is as well. It easily fits in my backpack and you can use it virtually anywhere with a door knob, frame, or pole. I can honestly say that this is an A+ product, and something that will be useful not only for myself & colleagues, but future patients as well.

Dangerous Products

Within minutes of 1st use, the plastic clasp that holds the strap together broke. This caused the clasp to slingshot and hit me in the eye, giving me a black/red eye. It hit hard enough that I saw a bright flash. There was no warning about this danger in the instructions. I would give 0 starts if possible.

Necessary but towel roll is cheaper
by dreemsnake (4 out of 5 stars)

If you have bulged disks in your neck, you have to do this type of traction. If you want to save money, do what I've been doing for about 25 years. Get a long, thin towel, roll it up, fold it in half and tie it together at the ends with something strong. Tie the other end to a doorknob. Lie on the floor on your back, put your head in the circle made by the towel, make sure the bottom of the towel is sitting at the base of your skull, then scoot out from the door and rest your head in the towel. It looks exactly like the pictures of this gadget except that you're using a towel. See my picture. For those of you asking about where the Neck Hammock should go, you should feel the pull on the base of your skull for both this and the towel roll. Because this does not address curvature, you also want to lie on your back on a bed with your head hanging over the edge a little bit. Your head should be resting firmly on the bed and the edge of the bed should be right on the base of your skull. You just want to feel a little gravitational pull.

Best Decision EVER!!! Straight Magic
by Flower Queen (5 out of 5 stars)
April 13, 2018

Alright....truthfully this thing is straight magic! I work 9 to 5 at a computer and afterwards I head to kickboxing and it has been doing a number on my neck and back. I have been using the Neck Hammock for a few days now and honestly this thing is a game changer. I can feel less tension in both my neck and my back. I just told my mom to go buy one because I know this will make a big difference for her as well. I think everyone can relate to stress on the neck and the back which is why I think everyone can really benefit from this.

Jacked up my neck at the gym, went to urgent care, saw a doc, PT, but this thing is what I needed
by James Hales (5 out of 5 stars)
October 31, 2018

Long story short, I strained my neck (military press...don't do it). I couldn't turn my head, look down, or even begin to lay my ears on my shoulders. The status of my neck didn't change for 40+ days. Urgent care prescribed me muscle relaxants and told me to stretch. The doc did the same. PT was the same, only without the meds. However, the PT held my head in a position much like the Neck Hammock does, and it felt amazing. On this day, I saw an ad for the Neck Hammock on FB. I bought it on Amazon and it arrived the same day. It was love. I don't think I had ever felt such relief before. Immediately following my first time using it I noticed more mobility and my head aches were lessening. I've only had it a week now, so I can't report on anything long term, but the short term effects have been incredible. This is a must have. I also bought a meditating app to meditate to while doing it and I swear I'm all around a healthier person now.

No instructions on how to use is concerning
by Mary (2 out of 5 stars)
October 14, 2018

The product seems to be of good quality and is as described. It is concerning that there are no directions, recommendations and instructions for use. Which way do you put the head piece on, foam pads up or down? How long and how often should it be used? Are there any safety precautions or conditions under which the product is contraindicated? It is after all, advertised as an FDA approved device.

Does NOT do what it says it should do, not comfortable, bad design
by Stella K. (1 out of 5 stars)

I got this for neck strain due to sitting at a computer all day but it DOES NOT WORK to relieve strain--in fact made it worse.. I tried every which way to get my neck comfortable in it but it pulls more UP than back (and I re-positioned my head/body numerous times to try to create that effect). The worst thing is that the item actually puts pressure all around your skull as it wraps tightly, foam doesn't help as it just squeezes your head and creates pressure (so that it induces a pressure-headache), it's not AT ALL comfortable (needs some super-soft padding or something not chunks of foam!). Moreover it needs "structure" to it--something more than just fabric wrapping up tight around your head. Even if it worked I don't think it's worth the $49.99 at all, seeing it's just made from synthetic fabric and non-luxury straps/foam. May work for some folks but not for me. Also note that YOU have to pay return shipping on this item, it's not technically an "Amazon" purchase (from now on I likely won't buy from LLC's, rather just deal with Amazon directly).

I would give it 5 stars if there's an instruction on where my head/neck should rest on
by Toys Samurai (4 out of 5 stars)

I am pretty impressed by the product. However, I can only give it 4 stars because I don't find any information about where my head/neck should rest on the device. I checked the included documentation and the official website. Yes, there are pictures and videos, but each person's body is different and it would be a lot more helpful if the company explicitly instructs user where our head/neck should rest on.
