Broke on first use - repeatedly

The head broke off the character repeatedly during our first play session with this toy - perhaps because we crash landed several times as we were learning how to fly it. You would think the design would take into consideration some banging about. We were able to put the head back on, but for the cost of this toy, I would expect the head to stay on. Even worse, the device lost its power and for some reason would not turn on even after trying to recharge it. I called the manufacturer for customer support. They said they're sending out a replacement, which is supposed to arrive in about a week. If a replacement arrives and works any better, I'll update my review.

My son wanted this desperately for Christmas. This toy was so difficult for a 10 year old to work. He basically gave up after trying for 3 days and not being able to have it to more than a death spiral. I gave it 2 stars because of durability. It handled the crashes with little to no damage.

My comment regarding the Air hogs2 Extreme Air Board is negative. It worked only one day: It was a Christmas present that stopped working on December 26. During the first day I noticed that very often do not stop the propellers after landing. The day after the Air hogs power on, the propellers turn but the air board does not take off.

Awesome concept and fun little product-IF you can keep it from breaking with minimal use, which is asking too much based on every Air Hogs toy this family has owned, including three of these hover boards. I'll say it again-IT WILL BREAK. With the first two, it was the flimsy plastic that creates the outline of the board itself, and (presumably) is which intended to provide protection. On one board alone, this plastic snapped in three places (on separate occasions). Forget trying to glue it back together. Fortunately, it only broke in one place on our other board-but this one stopped pairing with the receiver after 2 days, so we sent it back. As for its replacement, a propeller split in two about three seconds into its maiden flight.

The folks at Air Hogs come up with some awesome concepts, but their execution will let you down-we were hoping these boards would be different, but it's the same Christmas story.

This thing is a BLAST!

I am an expert drone and RC helicopter pilot so it helps I'm sure to have these skills before flying a "toy" of this caliber. It is a BLAST! I love zipping this thing around the yard and office. I am amazed at how fast it is. Some have said it is very sensitive, I think not. It is very responsive, they are sensitive. LOL I bought this after a friend at work showed me his and let me fly it. I immediately ordered one. I am thinking about getting a couple more in the event I do break it. But I fly it at high speeds in very close confines so impact with a stubborn solid object is probable.

So far the impacts I have experienced did not do any damage to the drone. P.S I'm 57 going on 12!
