Great sound, no battery life
by MATTHEW R. ANDERSON (2 out of 5 stars)
September 13, 2018

The Pros:

The headphones are reasonably comfortable. I have to extend them to maximum size to fit my head.

The sound is very good. Not overwhelming bass, but very crisp sound. I'm noticing details in music I've never noticed before from music I've been listening to for years.

The noise cancelling feature seems to work very well. I use these at the gym and when I activate the feature, there is a noticable decrease in the sound of weights clanking and machines running.

The included carrying box is very handy to have and sturdy enough to store in a gym bag.

The Cons:

Battery life. Or should I say lack of battery life. I think they are advertised as having 14-20 hours of battery life. This is a flat-out lie. I figured I could charge these until the charged fully light came on and use these at the gym for 2 hours per day for almost a week. WRONG! They died 9 minutes into my 2nd trip to the gym. This has happened so many times, that I now just charge them after every 2 hour usage. Actual battery life is closer to 3-5 hours. TOPS.

They're decently comfortable, but I don't feel like I have a gigantic head and I have to fully extend these to fit onto my ears and after about 30 minutes, the pinch on my ears starts to be uncomfortable. Not unbearable, but uncomfortable.

Overall for the price point of $279, I expected a slightly higher quality feeling product and the battery life is a real downer. If I could go back, I'd probably spend the extra money on the Sony headphones. I wish there was an indicator for approximate current battery charge. As previously mentioned, I had fully charged them and used them for about 2 hours when I heard the audible "battery low" beep sequence in the headphones. Two minutes later they shut off. I had figured they had several more DAYS of 2 hour uses and there was no way to know they didn't. So now, I never leave home without the cord to connect to my phone. Annoying.

Updating this review after owning these headphones for 4 months. The headphones no longer accept a charge and are unable to be used wirelessly at all, which also disables the headphone mounted volume, pause, next, previous controls. I'm beyond unhappy and wish I had not purchased these headphones. My son has the Beats3 Solo Wireless headphones and the sound is just as good, battery lasts for several weeks and they are just as comfortable.

Battery Drains While Powered Off
by M. Villicana (2 out of 5 stars)

I want to love these headphones, but the battery drains even while the headphones are powered off. I found that out after fully charging my headphones and then packing them in my carry-on the night before a flight only to have them be at 50% when I powered them on the next day. It is so annoying!

Gave up on Beats
by Peter R. Kerr (5 out of 5 stars)

After having my Beats headphones break.. twice, I stumbled across these. I was a little worried about the suede on the top because I wear them to work out but they are great. They aren't as bass heavy but pack a big sound. There are songs I've heard 100 times I'm hearing nuances I've never noticed before. so good.

Really wanted to like them...

As a child of the 70's and early 80's, nothing has the panache of a Marshall Amp blaring a guitar riff at 100db. As the owner of a new Iphone XR and new Dell XPS 13, I found my old wired Bose QC20 earbuds either didn't plug in or couldn't be used as a mic on the PC. I saw these at a hondo less than a new pair of Bose and snapped them up. The feel and look are awesome - solid construction and they were very comfortable. The problem began when the battery life turned out to be about 3 hours or less and the mic would cut out at random times. Maybe I got a bad one, but I returned (Thanks Amazon) and sucked it up and shelled out the extra cash for the QC35 II. Lastly, the sound quality was NOT good - very tinny and no base. Before anyone says "what can you expect..", my 3 year old Bose earbuds had MUCH better sound. I still think they look badass (for headphones), but just not meant to be...sigh.

Love Them!
by Brittni (5 out of 5 stars)

I love these headphones. They look so classy, and the sound is amazing.

I have used beats by Dre headphones for years (studio, solo, Bluetooth earbuds), and I was trying to get away from that look of headphones but still have that great sound. Although the sound from this brand is quite different from beats it is still quite nice. The base isn't as strong but it is very clear. They also drown out outside noise pretty well. There have been many times I have taken off these headphones and been shocked at the outside noise going on that I didn't even hear while my headphones were on. And I don't even use the noise cancellation setting since I really can't tell much of a difference with it on or off.

They fit comfortably on my head and aren't too tight. I've read on other reviews that the battery life isn't the best but since I don't use the noise cancellation the battery life is great. I've had these headphones for a couple of months and have had to charge these only 3 times since then.

These were a great buy!

Homerun for marshall

So I was looking around for a noise cancelling pair of headphones. I looked at specs from many other headphones and this one is the one that attracted me the most. The 30hrs plus or 20plus hours with anc on, meant I didn't have worry about charging it frequently.

Out of the box, they come in a beautiful carrying box, very premium fit and finish. So yeah initially they do fit a little snug but if you leave them on the box overnight, they'll stretch just enough and will be comfortable to wear.

The aptx technology is great, latency in watching vids or movies, a major miss on other pricier headphones.

For being on ear, they feel more like over ear and I have larger ears. The anc works really good. I wear these at work and there is a fan that in constantly on and its loud. These headphones block it out when you turn on the anc.

The sound is really good too and the built quality is one of the best. While other headphones are plastic, these are metal! and they fold up very easily. Very happy with them! highly recommend. Oh yeah, call quality is good too.

Small ear muffs
by VS (3 out of 5 stars)
January 11, 2019

I honestly wanted to like this so much. I was pretty stoked and had been holding out on the purchase of quality NC headphones, and I hate to say I was disappointed. The NC is...okay...subpar with others I've tried, and I would have been okay with it except that the ear muffs are so small. I thought about returning them, but the next model up is more than I want to spend and I already know that the ANC is not what I was looking for.

Great sound and features and stylish AF!
by JORGE BORREL (5 out of 5 stars)
September 21, 2018

These headphones are amazing, worth every penny. The sound is great, especially for rock and metal, but I've tried them with jazz, blues, and even RB and lo-fi and they deliver every time. I use them many hours a day wired and wireless and the sound quality is just as great, and the design itself provides great noise cancellation, even with the NC off. Big plus, the build quality and materials are great, and they look super stylish. They are pretty comfortable and the fit is great, they barely move even with brisk movements. Highly recommended. Some say the sound may be a little too cured for rock and metal, but that's more of a personal taste and can be managed well with a good equalizer app.

Great Bass but that's it
by Qrysta White (3 out of 5 stars)
October 4, 2018

Best velvety bass I've found on any Senn, Sony, or Shure I've owned in the last 40 years of headset buying but that's where the compliment ends.

Treble is lousy.

Pressed my ears till I had a headache.

One button function did not match the sleek but hard to decipher grey on black manual a bit. Up Down was supposed to raise and lower volume. On mine forward toward your nose raised volume.

It is handsome.

My music choice is R&B with smooth Saxaphone, sharp flutes, full voices (Gladys, Oleta Adams, Ruffin, Sam Cook, Wendell B ) and talented drums.

I got it Like New from Amazon Fullfillment. Returned it.

Perfect sound. Good battery life, Stoped working rithg next day after warranty
by Ivan (4 out of 5 stars)
September 15, 2019

Let's start one by one
1) Perfect sound. I think Marshall doing one of the best sound and It's logic regarding their background.
2) Noise cancelling in my opinion not really good never using it. Probably because it's not phones that fully cover the ears
3) Really good battery life for me. Using them at work, sometimes charging them once a weak without noise canceling.
4) Perfect design. I really like Marshall's design hope they will continue making old fashion devices.

After couple of month headphones just stopped connect to any devices. I used it in the middle of the day it just

disconnect and never connect again. Amaon replaced the headphones right in the next day(prime).
