I am so impressed by this amazing building set!
by MK (5 out of 5 stars)

Shout out to Lego for this stunningly-designed and manufactured Bugatti Chiron building kit. This incredible set with whopping 3,599 pieces is so sophisticated to a point where during four days of assembly, I was even able to learn the automobile production process and how each part works together to make a car fully functional. It is quite impressive to see that the complex mechanism can be recreated by building blocks. This beast is far beyond a level of toys and is really a good example of interdisciplinary efforts. The team at Lego has pushed their territory to another level unheard of, and their creativity and professionalism truly inspires and motivates me to do better for what I am doing.

A masterpiece.......

My son just turned 15 and he grew up building Legos, he is studying Engineering, when he got this Bugatti he got very excited it was a challenge a new record of 3,599 pieces for him to put together, when he open the box I can never forget his expression, he went through the boxes and the books, very detailed instructions (as every LEGO books), he couldn't believe it, he said it was (by far) the best LEGO he was going to build, 7 days later with few hours here and there, he finished his master peace.

Seeing him open every box and every bag turning the pages of the book to continue to build and his commitment to finish PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!, he says he might go for MECHANIC ENGINEERING.

Missing piece!
by Amazon Customer (2 out of 5 stars)

The product is great, but it's missing one piece. We already started building it, but now we can't go on. We have to wait until LEGO answers our email and sends us who knows when the missing piece, it's so sad, we paid such a big amount of money...

Wow!!!!!

Just when I thought the guys at LEGO technic couldn't out do themselves after the Porsche GTR, they go and hit a grandslam with this design. The attention to detail is mind boggling. The assembly process is simple, from a direction and assembly instructions, yet complex (You can easily miss a minute detail within a step, that can affect your overall build down the line). I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Well done LEGO.

PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE, .... but download PDF instructions to reduce chance of mistake!
by larryd517 (4 out of 5 stars)

Outstanding project, thoroughly enjoyable!

I'm a second time builder (I'm 60 and never played with legos growing up), the Aston Martin DB5 was my first.

I had a blast!

For anyone considering it...YES, get the kit and build it, it's a ton of fun.

So, why four not five stars?

The instructions can be hard to view, especially the dark blue pieces.

TIP.... Download the PDF and expand the pages for greater clarity (see images) it's so easy to make a mistake and with 6000 pieces, if you have one piece off by one pin or hole, the entire project could fail, so "measure twice cut once".

Total build time, so far (including a handful of mistake/corrections, which could take hours!), approximately 25 hours

It's pricey, but definitely worth it.

The most impressive Lego set I've ever built
by Matthieu P. Raillard (5 out of 5 stars)

I'm a big Lego fan, and am no stranger to some of their more complex (ahem, expensive...) sets. I've built the Disney Castle, the Lego Sandcrawler, numerous technic and Star Wars models, etc. This set takes the cake- it's by far the most interesting but also challenging building experience in all of my years. The attention to detail is insane- it has an actual, functioning transmission, independent suspension, working all-wheel drive, a working W-16 engine where you can see each piston fire in the correct sequence when moving, etc. Some people may think that it's not realistic enough, or doesn't look like the real car enough- that's not the point. The point is that it's an amazing feat of Lego design, and is quite impressive when complete (it's big, too). I take my time when building, so I can't remember how many hours it took, but it was quite a few!

Great design and awesome set
by Aaron (4 out of 5 stars)

I fully assembled this and the design was awesome! Someone really put some thought into this model. Could use some improvements for accuracy in some areas in the body, but it is as close as Lego currently gets. WOW!

I had a few concerns, though.

The boxes were not as clean as I expected for such an expensive Lego set. Some where wrinkled and not ideal. The outside was fine, oddly enough.

Also, there were a couple pieces missing, one very important one. I submitted a claim with Lego, they emailed me status updates and I received it within 1-2 weeks. THANKS LEGO!

I also noticed a few pieces were not as good of quality as I would expect from Lego. As one would expect from Lego, most pieces are clean and no tabs remain from molds. However, the red slipping gears (used in the gear shifting) all had rough edges on them on the inside as if they were removed from a mold and not cleaned. Disappointing for Lego. Been a fan since the mid 80's. You have good quality products. What is this?

The suspension is cool, but the car rides so low that if you press down on it, it is scraping the ground. Not very realistic.

All that said, it is a REALLY awesome set. Probably my favorite of all time, surpassing 6538, 6331, 6339, 1682, 1804.

LEGO Technic Bugatti - Best LEGO set to date!
by Nirvana For Pets (5 out of 5 stars)
September 15, 2018

This is the best kit Technic kit Lego has made to date! It's also challenging build & takes time. With almost 900 pieces more than Porsche 911 GT3 RS kit, this build will keep you engaged & entertained! Def worth the hefty retail price!

Tip: You can add Lego Power motors & IR Receiver to it & the Light kits work well. (Both are not included in set, must buy separate!)

Several hours of fun!

This LEGO kit is amazing. The mechanics in it is what impressed me most. You'll enjoy every moment when putting it together. In my set one important piece was missing, however LEGO sent it to me promptly. I'm totally satisfied with my purchase.

Surpassed my already high expectations
by GMusik (5 out of 5 stars)

This was my first Technic build, and as an adult let me tell you this kit was REALLY fun to put together. It took me 8 days of building multiple hours per day to complete, and I enjoyed every minute of it (well, except for the minute I realized I had built the spoiler assembly incorrectly about 30 pages after the fact and had to dismantle the rear of the car to fix it, LOL!). It's definitely addicting and satisfying! And even though I had seen many pictures and videos of it before purchasing, it didn't strike me how LARGE this model is until I had it in front of me. That's a good thing!

As for reviewers claiming they had pieces missing, let me just say that not a single piece was missing from mine and I had a good number of extra pieces (mainly small connectors and such) at the end. There were a few times where I started to panic thinking a piece was missing, but then realized that I had just overlooked it in the sea of small pieces (often because the piece was standing on its side or hidden under another piece). Once I literally stared at my trays of pieces for 2-3 minutes before spotting the "missing" piece.

I do agree with the reviewers that say the doors are a bit cheap feeling in light of the quality of the rest of the build. I'm not sure why they couldn't have stabilized the hinge area further and also made it so the door stops flush instead of being able to push it too far in. I'm sure if you have a store of Technic pieces, though, you could come up with something on your own to do this. I also agree with those that say the front end could do with fewer "gaps," but it's honestly not that bad. One thing I haven't seen mentioned that I thought was peculiar is why the steering wheel wasn't flat-bottomed like in the actual Chiron.

But none of these minor complaints warrant taking away a star. This was definitely worth the money, and I couldn't help but also buy the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. My suggestion is to take your time while building this and frequently closely compare what you have in your hand to the illustrations to be sure every piece is oriented correctly and every connection is in place before you get too far ahead.
