Great fun could use a few tweaks

Very fun game, similar to monopoly while still being very different, simple yet addicting gameplay

My gripes come with a lack of clarification in the rules about some issues (do you roll item die in jail, can DK drop a banana if none can be ate, when using star power movement abilities do you bypass coins/bananas on the board etc)

The other issue is how broken rainbow road (the race) ia. Each time ive played whoever won that race won the game. Its simply worth way too damn much and lets you rerace somebody elses to potentially gain even more points. Make it worth 50 or 60 so its not absurdly broken.

Game should also have came with more coins, keep having to exchange constantly to not run out

Regardless still really fun worth buying

Oh and screw Yoshi. Broken ass power

Great edition. Very different but in a good way

I'm an avid board game collector and I have over 40 different types of board games but this is the first Monopoly game that I was willing to buy mostly just because it was on sale. Monopoly is usually really boring and mundane with repetitive mechanics and just overall not very exciting. However, this was very fresh and you and I really enjoyed the modifications to it despite being completely slaughtered by my girlfriend and her little brother when I was playing. I shall have my revenge.

Monopoly as it should be played. On Go-Karts.

Not only does this use actual monopoly rules (no money for landing on free parking, property goes on auction if someone lands on it but doesn't buy it) but the random dice rolls means green and blue shells go flying, constantly causing chaos. Each character has their own special abilities (Luigi OP) and since there are only 2 properties per color, the games fly by. A couple of friends and I blazed through 3 games in little less than an hour or two.

A great time, highly recommended.

Feel of Mario Kart

It is great to have a shortened version of monopoly, but to make it even better they added the Mario Kart theme. Great addition to this brand as it makes it more fun in different ways.

I like how you can fire shells, lightning bolts, power ups (per person) that make it much more fun than original monopoly. Every time you pass go/start you enter a race. I do wish there was a little bit more in this area as rolling one die to see who wins a race seems pretty basic, but it still works. Some people have complained about whoever wins Rainbow Road which is the last race worth 100 pts always wins, but multiple times that did not happen to us when playing. I wish that it came with all the characters rather than having you buy additional ones, but that is life...everyone is out to make the quick buck.

Overall great game, very LUCK based, but little bits of strategy can come into play when you know what you are doing. Definitely a good buy for mario kart fans.

Another wonderful rendition of Monopoly!

A wonderfully classic and addicting board game? -- Check!

Something that even the newer generations are willing to get into? -- Check!

Mash it up with one of the best gaming franchises (and addicting racing games) -- Check!

So far, this version of Monopoly has a lot going for it, just like the Gamer Edition that generalizes the Mario universe to something more than just racing. These unique renditions of an already great game keep getting more and more interesting by the release.

This has been another addition to our break area, and is one of the few board game options that frequently gets used. Usually everyone tends to gravitate to the video game console options, but when a board game is dragged out instead, it is almost always one of these Monopoly renditions.

You'll enjoy it almost as much as your kid.

My 4 year old loves Mario so we got this for Christmas, but we've been on vacation for a few days and decided to play this early. It's got lots of different rules than regular Monopoly so it took some time for my wife and I to read the rules and get gist of this game. Once we did, we loved it. In my opinion it's an improvement on the classic Monopoly and we have almost as much fun as our 4 year old.

This game is an experience in patience. Maybe I'm just hung up on classic monopoly (which this is NOT) but we are still learning all the rules and its not boring!

Our 3 Year old loves playing a simplified version

We are a board game family and wanted to start playing some games with out three-year old. We have some of the classics out there but also bough this, because he likes cars and mario. We play a simple version where we each get 12 coins and go around the board once. Winner is whoever has the point property points. It has helped him count to six and also understand turn order and buying stuff. We play it nightly and he loves it.

We also play without him and love it too! Win win!

Great Gift

This was a Christmas present from my son to his sister. She really wanted a board game because she only had one and her brother has many (including 3 different Monopoly games). She was so excited to receive this because she loves playing Mario Kart. This was one of her favorite gifts and it wasn't even from Santa!
