I can't speak for the longevity of this product, as I just got it today, but this little gadget worked a miracle tonight. I have 4 cats, one added back in May, which happens to be a litter mate of 2 of my others, so 3 siblings total. However, I digress. The two female litter mates loved each other before they were separated, but once reunited 1.5 years later, DESPISE each other. I've tried pheromones, cat nip, some vine that imitates the effects of cat nip, bully solution, and a calming aid treat. Now, I have noticed I've made my biggest strides in reducing aggression have come when I can engage the two in play, but with one hand held laser pointer things still got a little intense. So tonight I put this contraption out, and voila! There was no competition, just happy play at the same time, but opposite each other. After a while of watching, I fell asleep on the couch, and I woke up with them sleeping within 6 inches of each other! To note, this has not happened without hissing and aggression since reunification. If I could give this product 6 stars I would, as it has just made my home waaaay more tolerable. I will update later if I have issues with quality.

Cats love it!

The cats have started asking me to turn this thing on. Several times a day. They meow at me if I don't comply. The other day they tipped it over and the laser was sweeping across the ceiling. The orange cat was attempting parkour to try and get the ceiling red dot thingie. The other cat makes cooing noises as he chases the dot around the living room. He has never made cooing noises before. This has given them hours upon hours of entertainment and exercise... so I am quite pleased with the purchase.

Best laser I've bought for my cats! My wife's Angora is much smaller than my Russian so she would always shy away from the toy when the bigger one wanted to play. With 2 beams there's no conflict! Although I do wish it had a weighted base to keep it from getting knocked over.

Every night we were grabbing the laser pen to keep 2 cats occupied & to tire them out before bed. NO MORE ! Now, we can just sit & watch them go crazy with the zoom light! Yea, once in a while, they might knock it over but it's the best ever toy! Then after 15 minutes... it goes to sleep & so do our boys. We've had this for only 2 weeks and hope it lasts forever!

This keeps my cats busy for hours. The only thing that would make the product better is if the two layers moved up and down more randomly, because my cats are evil and have caught on to paying attention to what the other cat is doing.

I just got this today and all three of my cats love it! My fingers got so tired of pushing buttons on the laser plus we have three cats. This is a lifesaver for me. They're not even paying attention to any of their other toys!!

Single speed - lack of lazer variaton.

More Interest in the Source than the Dots

Both cats showed very little interest in this toy. Even though there were two active laser dots racing around the room, the cats were more interested in the source and were going up to the device smelling and batting at it. Unless you have very active and maybe aggressive cats, this may not be the best choice. It's a solidly build toy and the lasers are very bright and random. I thought it would be perfect, maybe I just have lazy and dumb cats??

Works as described-better than last automatic laser toy

I had a different automatic laser pet toy (Dart) prior to this and definitely like this one better. The Dart swung around in a circle and changed directions quickly. The laser was constantly on. The Zoom rotating laser toy moves, stops, and then moves again. It blinks rapidly or disappears for 5 seconds and then reappears. The eye rotates up and down so the distance varies. My cats like this one better because they don't just watch it move in a circle, they hunt it and pounce. When it disappears I can watch them searching for it. 4 stars because it does have some noise to it. I wouldn't call it loud but I can easily hear it from anywhere in the room. It also has no variable settings. It works at one speed for 15 minutes. My cats love hand held laser pointers the best but I like that I can turn this on and leave it to ensure they get at least some exercise twice a day.
