In all kits you have a multi purpose tool to help pull all of the sand or the snow together, or even cut pieces for a flat edge. The block is used to help design the tops of the castles, creating towering battlements.There is even a window cutter that allows you to create the impression of a window in the tower. Using the multi purpose tool, hammer the window cutter deeper into the tower for different looks. Finally, the buckles on the molds can simply detach from the mold for precision sculpting with the buckles and wires and also allows to keep your parts clean from the sand. When you have created your masterpiece you can throw everything into your new mesh bag so parts don't get lost. The mesh bag is great for simple transport and cleanup. With everything in your bag you just simply pack up and store it until next time. If it is covered in sand you can simply hose it all off inside the bag when you get home. Note from the manufacturer; not all sand/snow is the same and not all sand/snow can be made into a castle. When you are creating a sand castle please remember that the best sand has a bit of moisture in it. If you do not use the correct sand then it will fall apart alternatively if there is too much water then the tower will not hold its shape. Sand with pebbles and shells in it also can affect the integrity of the structure and also cause it to fall apart.

This product was easy to use and quick to assemble. The variety of "How To" Youtube videos available made creating castles with a wow factor fun and simple. The detachable brackets were an additional tool to develop the details of the kingdoms we created. I purchased this product for family fun for ages 9 - 50 and no one was disappointed. The price is higher than your typical sand toys, but the quality of materials and durability of the system should last for decades, where other sand castle forms last one or two seasons. I highly recommend this product!

I was looking for sand castle buckets for my 8 year old son when I saw these - while I was skeptical of the price at first, after reading the reviews and seeing from the pictures how it works and how well it builds, I decided to give it a try. Not only was it easy to use, super sturdy, but created awesome looking sand castles, walls and towers! My son and his cousins loved it. The extra window and door making accessories, plus the tool were super nice additions. And the bag to carry it all in. Would highly recommend this.

I bought this for children ages 9 and 11. They were excited to use it but had difficulty putting the bracket system on it. There were no instructions given and several of the brackets come off making it easy to loose parts and hard to use for sand castle building. We do enjoy the idea of making a sand castle but haven't been successful doing that yet mostly due to the frustration of the brackets. For the money spent it feels like the brackets should be already mounted on it and a permanently.

It may work quite well on the clay like sand of Massachusetts but here in southern California it is merely an exercise in frustration. If you have easily compactible beach sand, then go for it; if you have non-sticky powder sand or even large grain sand then be cautious. You can build with the smallest of the 3 latching pieces but don't expect to go beyond one level. It would have been better designed and more usable by non north-east beach goers if the second level were not flared out. As it is, 2 stars for a not-quite-there try. Lastly, $50 for a few pieces of plastic is an exorbitant and unjustifiable profit margin.
