I wanted a slash protective shirt for when I travel to localities where concealed carry of a firearm or knife are not allowed. This is a medium weighted shirt that protects the upper arms and torso against SLASHES AND CUTS. It is better than no protection, at all. It feels like the weight of a heavy sweatshirt. Mobility is good, but the fabric is rough to the touch. I wore it while I traveled in London, after reading news reports of knife attacks. I wore it in conjunction with my "The Survival Island Knife Stab Slash Cut Proof Jacket". You can never be overly cautious or over-prepared. Comfortwise, it is comfortable, but it doesn't breathe well making it hot and the sweat tends to just sit there. I let it dry off and wore it again 2 more times, as I only had one of these shirts. I think it's better suited for colder weather rather than the summer (in London it was in the 70s F). Overall, I'm pleased with its capability and design. I'd prefer long sleeve protection with a turtle neck or more neck coverage, though.

Not knife proof

Too hard to put on. Doesn't move well or breathe. Also I tried stabbing my self and could definitely feel it poking thru. Protects from small scratches but not stabs. Son I am disappoint

Functional protection

Legit slash-resistant shirt. I dragged a 3" blade across it and there was no hint of even a thread being cut. Heavy weave of different materials, including ceramic, which is also used in other types of body armor. I ordered mine extra large to fit over low-profile armor, and the collar stands up on it's own. Feels smooth to the touch, cool on the skin, but strangely abrasive on the sensitive skin areas such as the armpit. Would recommend wearing an undershirt. 4 stars because there is only one design option presently. I would purchase a long-sleeve cadet collar version of this material in a heartbeat! Consumer note: Not stab proof.

The weight is good; substantial without being intrusively heavy. It is a bit itchy; probably the 20% ceramic component. My clients claw and bite.

Good layer of protection

It is cut resistant and a little stiffer than a regular shirt is. You will need to wear a under shirt chaffs a little to the skin. Price is cheaper than other shirts I have looked at and it should do just as good as them. Plan on buying two more if it washes good in the wash machine. One note: IT IS NOT STAB RESISTANT. Only cut resistant. Stab resistant clothing is thicker,heavy,and not that concealable unless you pay a higher price for them. You have be warned!
