The rocket stove can be operated with a variety of materials. It can be fired with wood, charcoal or combustible biomass (wood pellets, leaves, cardboard and much more). Grill environmentally friendly and sustainable!

Outdoor use is no problem even in windy weather. The chimney effect (draft from below) effectively burns the wood. The flames rise through an opening in the middle of the stove to the cast-iron ring. This unique construction has many advantages. On the one hand it allows a complete combustion of the materials - it is an almost odorless, smoke-free flame without flying sparks - and on the other hand, the escaping heat can be used for cooking.

The rocket stove has two openings with doors to fire the rocket and regulate the airflow. Included in delivery is a firewood rack with which you can add larger pieces of wood from below. The practical 3-point pot holder gives your Dutch Oven or your casting pan an optimal stop. In addition, the rocket stove is equipped with comfortable stainless steel handles with rubber coating. The handles can be touched even when the stove is hot.

I am highly impressed with the Quality of the the BBQ-Toro Rocket Stove RAKETE #2. I did a lot of research on this type of stove and I found that the BBQ-Toro was the best value. If you look at it closely, you will see that it is very similar to the Ecozoom Versa rocket stove with the difference being the BBQ-Toro has a Stainless body instead of painted steel and the BBQ-Toro has a larger diameter stove top. The stove appears to be well insulated (see photos). The main portion has some type of dense rock wool insulation and a stainless liner. The area directly below the heavy duty cast iron fuel support grates appears to be insulated with some form of clay/ceramic material. I haven't had an opportunity to try it out yet but based on the design quality I have no doubt that it will perform well. The Stainless Steel body was a huge plus in my decision making process because it will negate rust issues and extend the life of the stove.

When I have the time to cook outside I use this. I have a ton of sticks on my property and this thing dosen't burn much. I don't have to gather a lot or cut them. The fire gets hot and I can grill, use a pie iron or a cast iron pan.

It appears that this stove is built well. The one thing I am disappointed with is the metal piece the cast top is screwed into. There was a wobble on the top cast top and when I removed the 3 screws, I noticed that one of the c channel pieces was broken. These are only tac welded and poorly hold the cast top. I decided to test out the stove to see if I could get a rolling boil going. I chopped up little scraps and burned them...I got my boil within minutes. I like the stove so far except for the broken piece. I will reach out and see what my options are. I bought this over the EcoZoom because of cost but now I'm wondering if the EcoZoom is better designed.

The stove works well for the small sticks, I think it is good for carry while you are going to camping. for me, it is a little small than I thought.

My new favorite toy. I use it at least once 3 week. Feels nice to cook breakfast out on the deck in a skillet on a cook fall day. Stove works as described and my favorite part is the sides do not get hot.

It takes a bit of time to get the knack of it, so I would recommend you start with some charcoal until you figure out the draft, fire box door etc. Afterwards, its a 10.

The product was seperated into parts when it arrived and box damaged. I do not think this is the companies fault

but since parts where separate I do not know. However everything appears to be in the box.

This is a great little stove. It has ceramic insulation in the lower section and fiber insulation in the top. Enameled cast iron cook top is perfect size for Korean BBQ grill plate.
