I'm a student at UCSB, and I skate 2 miles each way to class.

I normally stay faithful to my landyachtz bamboo pintail longboard, but midterm stress and compulsive internet shopping led me to where you are now, reading the comments on this funky little board to see if it actually rips, or if it rips you off.... I thought there was no way I would spend over $50 per foot of board, but after seeing the comments and some videos, I had to order it just to see it. I planned to kick it around inside, and send it right back, because I didn't believe that this board would be rideable, let alone fast.

And then I rode the board.

This board rips.

Not just a small tear on the corner of a page, but rips the pavement like a young child opening presents on Christmas morning. This board feels really fast. Like really fast. I thought it would be as stable as a primary carbocation, but this thing is as stable as a benzene ring. I expected whited sepulchers but I received a hall of mirrors. I expected a scrambled egg but received a golden egg.

Not only was this board 90% as fast as the longboard I have been perfecting for the last 2 years, but it fits on my backpack straps like a charm. No longer will I have to be skate-boardless when I travel. The eggboard is truly tiny.

Also, I had no expectation for a functional tail, but the last 2 inches of the board make the tail remarkably useful, even while keeping it stable enough for riders who do not typically use a tail. Remarkable feat of engineering.

And if all that wasn't enough, Paolo reached out to me personally after registering my LIFETIME warranty, thanking me for supporting his small business passion project. A product this good could only have come from an even better business model.

Sure enough I aced those midterms,

and sure as hell I'm keeping this board.

I had just received my Eggboard yesterday and I was so excited to take customize and take it to school the next day, my friends loved it and I loved it too but to my dismay while riding home today I hit a bump and my skateboard flew into the street and got hit by a car. I was heartbroken and when I walked home I immediately started typing up my email to Paolo, the creator of Eggboards. A few minutes after I sent it, Paolo himself responded and though he said he'd get back to me as he could he addressed all the worries and calmed my mind, the product is great, the company is great, you should have no problem putting your faith in this company.

Bought for my son, an intermediate skater who has been on penny boards for years, and uses it to get between classes at college. He was excited to ride it.

He crashed the Eggboard hard, and refused to get back on. He said the shortness of the board, and the large amount of exposed wheel was causing rubs that were unsafe.

Hmmm...

I put 129mm trucks and 60mm wheels with a riser on the Eggboard. He loves it now. Good stability, great carving, but way less wheel hanging out to rub on.

Reused the Eggboard trucks/wheels on an 8in deck, perfect for longer rides around the neighborhood.

Cool specialty board. Fun cruiser.

What's not to love about this product. I've had plenty of skateboards of all varieties but the Egg Board is bar far my favorite "niche" board. There's a board for many occasions but rarely is there a board for every one. It's small, portable size makes it ideal for cruising the beach and fits nicely under a bar stool or a table. I've been stopped numerous times by people wanting to try it out. I thought based on it's small size that it would have stability issues but the extra width of the egg shape makes riding very comfortable even at high speed. Fantastic price point, great product, couldn't recommend it higher!

Eggtastic - But one thing...

The Eggboard is super fun because it feels really quick due to its size, and stable too. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the trucks do not seem mounted straight - tends to lean left so when I try to pick up more speed from kicking, I can't really do it because board rolls to one side and it's difficult to get back foot back on because of it. If we can fix this issue then it's 5 stars, but for now, the trucks seem a bit mismounted. Can someone at Eggboard help me out? Thank you.

Edit/update: Just tested it again down driveway and it totally veers left, and you can clearly see how the trucks are bolted into board a little off. Need refund. Video shows how the driveway actually goes upward on the left side and the EggB still easily overtakes it down the hill on that side.

I have to admit, it's been many years since I've been on a skateboard. Fortunately, I'm somewhat athletic so I thought I would give this Eggboard a try. I must say, I love it. It's super easy to ride once you get used to the short deck. It's smooth, rides well and feels solid. It even manages to ride over small debris with ease. This 48 year old woman gives it a big thumbs up!

When I first received my Eggboard I actually laughed at how small it was and wondered how both my feet would fit together on the deck. Feels solid when I picked it up, "Ready-To-Ride" out the box. The first thing I noticed is that the wheels stick out past the deck width about an inch or so. Have to be careful not to rub the wheel with my shoe or could face plant in an instant. After taking note I began my journey in the Financial District of SF to the waterfront where the sidewalks are new and wide. Right off the bat this ride was butter smooth. The softer wheels really cushion the road and the bearings seem to roll for days! I've used skateboards almost all my life (my first deck was a Roskopp) and I don't think I've ever had a more smoother ride. I do get some crazy looks from folks as I cruise by but the size really is perfect for my commute. It can fit IN a backpack but I just hook it to my bag that has the sew-in board straps. If your love a long board but don't want to lug it around this is worth a ride. If you are looking to grind, ollie, or whip around in the drained pool, this will kill you.

Fun!

Using it to commute to the office (around 1mile) and it is fast and super handy! It is very good for cruising, maybe not for crazy hills since it can get pretty fast.

Super portable and already got a few compliments and asked about it in the office. :)

Love the EggBoard! This is honestly the most compact skateboard I've ever owned, and facilitates a working- or student-lifestyle when you just need to zoom quickly from place to place, within a close geography. Best suited for flat, or gently-hilled, areas, and those wide wheels allow for easy flow over bumps, cracks, stray gravel, etc.

The one suggestion I'd make for Eggboard II would be to add a slight kicktail -- mainly just to stabilize the back-end, not so much for trick-potential (though that would be cool) as for control. I had bought this board for my daughter to learn on, kinda like Skateboarding 101, and honestly I think she (and all beginners) would benefit from just a bit of traction on the back-end so that the rear foot doesn't ever slip. Seasoned skateboarders should have no problem (I certainly haven't), but beginner skaters would really benefit from that added stability.

Keep up the good work, Eggboards, and as a teacher at a sustainability school in Hawai'i, we really appreciate your dedication to bamboo, minimal waste, etc. Thanks for a great ride!

TOTALLY in love with my Eggboard

TOTALLY in love with my Eggboard! It's lightweight - maybe 5 lbs - it's compact but not TOO small. I am 5'8" 180 lbs and I feel much more comfortable on this than a Penny board. It really feels like a mini longboard. Rides smooth with wide longboard trucks and big soft wheels. I was considering buying better bearings but that isn't necessary!
