Scrabble is one of my favorite games and I love that USAopoly created a Harry Potter version, as I am a huge HP fan. The game board is the same as a regular scrabble board with HP fonts and icons. You get bonus points for "magical" words, but the directions are lacking in what counts as "magical" word, especially for those of us with extensive HP knowledge, as we could find a way to justify most any word as "magical." I love the addition of the special effects cards which adds a new level of fun to the game. While this game doesn't seem to be up to the typical quality of USAopoly games, we very much enjoy playing and find it even more challenging than regular Scrabble.

We bought this to play with our Harry-Potter-fan grandchildren, ages 9 and 11. They enjoyed it enough that we bought a second so that we can practice before we play with them again. The cards add an element of luck and surprise that makes the game more interesting to kids. They liked it much better than regular Scrabble.

This game is great for people who love Scrabble and Harry Potter. There are some fun optional rules to play with. As someone who easily gets bored with games, I thoroughly enjoyed the added features (cards, magic words points) of this game.

This is perfect for Scrabble fans and Harry Potter fans. The twist cards vamp it up and make the traditional Scrabble more accessible for teenagers. I'm a librarian and I can't wait to have a game day focusing on that game.
