Love it and hate it!! To be honest, the design is flawed. I now understand why they provide SO SO many extra sticky magnets....every time I take the screen off....it takes one or more magnets with it...a couple of other things. It is also very unsteady. Your not going to be walking around with this thing attached to your laptop without holding it tight...as a person who uses a portable monitor on a daily basis I have to ask myself what more does this provide...the answer is nothing...it's unstable, falls off...and the case for this is larger that the top of my laptop (Dell XPS 13). So for the same amount of money you could buy a portable screen (ASUS, Dell, there's a bunch) with much much better resolution and sit it next to your laptop..I wanted to to like this....I really did but not worth it. The sticky magnet issue, unstableness, and large mount that is bigger than my screen are deal breakers for me...hopefully the manufacturer reads this - have you thought about making a bracket that slides over the top and to sides of the laptop screen instead of magnets? Great idea I was so excited for this....but maybe the next go around the design will be better..

So much potential

This product has amazing potential, especially from a 100% remote worker like me. However, it has issues staying connected to both my 2015 and 2019 MacBook Pro's. The screen flickers, cuts offs randomly, and comes back on, no matter what cable or what port you are using (USB-C has been more prevalent but USB-3 has been flickering too). Driver, software, and OS updates do not help.

They sent a replacement but the issues are still there. I am working with them to find a resolution and determine what hardware/software issues are to blame. Will deliver an update after 1 month.

It uses adhesive behind magnets to attach to laptop not very secure came off many times. Be sure the adhesive is compatible with your laptop composite. Come up with a secure durable attachment and the product would work well. Returning my order.

This is amazing! I travel a lot for work and this can help me have multiple sheets open and software. Sliding the screen back in so then I can move to another meeting is great. The cable being long and dangling when screen is slid in is annoying but small price to pay for two monitors. I let the magnets glue dry for 3 hours after I wet wiped the surface of the laptop backing and dried it. Only had one of the four magnet plates come off. I am still testing the battery usage I only got this 3 days ago. How ever, I got everyone at work turning heads in meetings.

I rely on two screens for programming (copying from stack exchange etc) and this provides that in a thing light mobile package. No more getting forced out of Starbucks back to my depressing apartment just because of my laptop's single screen. I can just slide this out and continue working.

Works on Windows flawlessly. Installing the display link drivers on ubuntu was a bit more annoying and came along with the usual ubuntu 19 bugs but overall it works well on ubuntu too. Highly recommend!

Love this little monitor add on! Works extremely well, very good picture and is really portable. The only downside, and why it's not 5 stars, are the magnets. They did not stay adhered to my laptop very well. Now, I don't know if it's because my Dell laptop has a textured cover or if it's because the magnets aren't sticky enough. Overall, I highly recommend this if you are always multitasking at work or home.

Worth it! I am a code who travel frequently. Sometimes no choice but have to work on codes at airports or on the plane. That really improves my efficiency during the trip, seems like the dual monitor used in the office. I highly recommend it for those people such like me, go for it.

Things To Keep In Mind Before Buying... But Still Worth It!

It's currently 10/6 that I'm making this review and this product was delivered to me on 10/2. Here's what I have to say.

This is a GREAT second monitor to have. The speed and quality to me are great and I definitely feel I can work twice as fast with it. I did run into an issue with magnets (the first time). I didn't know how to position them properly and ended up destroying the first set. However, the second time was a lot better so I still have one spare set left and the monitor fits well on my laptop now.

When I placed the second magnets on my laptop, I put some heavy items ontop of my laptop for at least 1 hr to make sure the magnets stuck and it has worked ever since. This isn't the type of monitor you can just pick up with your laptop and walk around the house with (Unless you have it in the case on the back of your pc but it may swing your monitor back to far if you're not careful), but it is good if you're sitting in a chair and recliner. I have a flimsy laptop screen but it doesn't effect it at all. It fits into my backpack just fine and the two cords we have are helpful for plugging things up.

I combined this monitor with 3 items of purchase, my gaming laptop, a portable cooling fan, and a lap desk tray with a retractable mousepad. It's a wonderful work station though can be a bit heavy to carry in your backpack unless those are the only things you carry.

Ultimately this is a 4 star because of the trouble with magnets, it's tricky to sheath my second minor unless the laptop is closed, and it came with a small scratch but nothing worth worry about. Still a purchase worth buying instead of a completely separate monitor that hogs up space on a table.

So after many repeated attempts to fit the screen behind my laptop, I noticed how cumbersome it was. Screen takes considerable amount of effort to to slide out, and it has a tendency to fall off....I'll try to work with the magnets and give it another week and see how it goes then.

I have been waiting for this product to become available. I travel a ton for work and often need a dual monitor. When a coworker introduced me to this, I thought it would solve all my problems. Opening the box I became youthful again and thoughts of Christmas morning cake to mind. However, within moments, I realized this wasn't the gift i wanted. The magnets on the back are not strong enough to hold the screen when it's extended. The sticky tabs in the magnets wouldn't stick to my laptop and once I got them stabilized, the magnets were not strong enough and the screen kept falling. I didn't bother to install the software to see how the monitor looked once mapped. The frustration of the falling monitor was enough for me to pack it back up and prepare it for return.
