The first time I began used this sharpening system, I wasn't that impressed. It is easy to set up to the desired angle you wish to place on the edge and then it's all about keeping the knife vertical as you pull it down each side. Easy enough in concept, but the rods do not lock into each position, so I was constantly having to make sure they were straight. On the plus side, the abrasives that WorkSharp puts out is amazing and gets the job done, but in my opinion, that's the only god thing about this system. The guided sharpening system WorkSharp puts out is head and shoulders above this one and is what I judge other systems on. This one just happens to fall short of the mark.

I keep my power Work Sharp sharpener in my shop and use it regularly to sharpen all my knives. I purchased this sharpener to keep in my kitchen to quickly sharpen my kitchen knives without running out to my shop. I can quickly pull this out, set it up and sharpen my knives as I'm cooking. Much better than the sharpening rod we all have. I love the design and how it closes up in it's own box and fits nicely in a drawer until I need it again

This comes in a convenient caring case to keep everything you need right on hand. I use it mostly when I'm skinning deer and butchering. I'm always having to resharpen my knifes during the process and this make it easy and fast. Well worth the money.
