Everyone needs to read this book. It should be mandatory reading in history class.

I never knew it happened at this magnitude. While reading, remember that most of this happened after church on Sunday. By the end, you'll know the boogeyman is real.

I haven't started reading this one yet. I am very sure it will meet all my expectations. There may possibly be some information that will probably be hard to consume. I will place a warning out there for anyone. Who may not want to hear it, or could possibly be sensitive to readings such as this.

Very enlightening book! It illustrates the horrors and atrocities of full blown racism and hatred in the United States.

This is a book that definitely has its place in history. There need to be accounts of atrocities and racism. There are people trying to erase awareness. I both read and scanned this book. It was too depressing/horrific to read too closely. I particularly appreciate that these actually are, and are presented as newspaper clippings. I just don't believe the statistics on lynchings, I think they were much higher. Yet we must appreciate that as a part of history too.

Painful and enlightening, it takes a certain type of person, with a certain interest in mind to read this book cover to cover. It IS NOT FICTION, it IS NOT A THRILLER, they are clippings of fact for information and awareness.

Took me a minute to get through it. Between getting angry and my imagination of the scenes, I had to take it all in slowly. Definitely glad I bought it though.

I dislike the fact that we live in a nation of people that displayed such animalistic tendencies. BUT there is nothing more devastating than karma!
Do people really think that all the destruction that the US is going through is climate change? And also the other nations.

Think again...

What a harrowing read. How can a land that speaks about freedom and law have allowed (and still allow) such barbarity. Hang your heads in shame.
