There were plenty of extra seeds that she planted those as well in various containers. This is a very good experience for all of us, we like watching veggies grow in the middle of winter.
But the bigger problem was that mine was missing pieces. I didn’t look at it carefully right away when it came so I was past the return window. The base piece was missing so I had to try to make something out of a milk carton. It worked okay but wasn’t great- dirt and water spilled out the bottom. The wicks were frayed as well. It didn’t have nearly as much dirt as it was supposed to so we had to add some. So if you do buy this, check carefully for all the pieces right away even if you aren’t using it right away. You will have to read the directions to do this- mine looked complete but was not.
One word about the seller: at first they sent me the wrong thing. Then when I contacted them, they sent me this one at no charge (which is the one I had originally ordered). They were very kind about rectifying their mistake and I thank them.
