Product Description
This is a Tamiya 1/35 U.S. M41 Walker Bulldog Model Kit. The M-41 type tank was greatly improved since its first model appeared in the Korean War and because of its light weight and compactness in size, this type tanks were placed mainly with the mechanized cavalry regiment of the U.S. Mechanized Division, as light tanks available for air transportation.

I'd seen recommendations for it to be the first built and I have to say I think it's great. It has plenty of small detail so you learn how to do most difficulties you'll encounter with any model across the board. It also has three figures included that make for learning better character modelling.
As a beginner to the 1:35 series of models, at the cost of the M41 you can't go wrong.
Edit: Attached the picture of my finished model. Not perfect but as the first model I made I think it was a decent attempt.

“I Received this as a Christmas gift and its great! This is my first ever Tamiya model so I can't say much about the overall quality of their models but this one was amazing! There was no flash at all, no major fitting issues (huge gaps under the hull and in-between lower hull and the top but you never see those) My only issue was the headlight cages, they were molded weird and weren't clear were you cut them off the sprue, so i accidentally cut mine in half but no biggie! The crew was great, the wheels and treads were easy, and love the moveable parts!”
All in all, GREAT buy for model collection!
1. Moving parts- I really liked that the turret still moves, and the cannon, AND the tracks! I also decided to not glue the machine gun on top, so that still moves as well.
2. The scale figures- I really enjoyed painting the little guys that came with it. I thought it added a lot to the model.
3. Multiple Decals- It was cool to be able to choose between a few different decal schemes. I don't know the history behind the Japanese Defense Force, but the figurines definitely look American with their gear and all, so I went with the American Army decal scheme.
As I said, the fit and the detail were both fantastic, which is to be expected with Tamiya. I really enjoyed this model, and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to make a model tank for their first time. The only thing that I might change would be the antennae on the turret. I thought they were a little thick, but that's something that I might change on my own anyways.
