Directions

To open tube, cut tip of the tube on score mark with scissors. Adults and children 2 years of age and older apply to the affected area up to 4 times daily or as directed by a doctor/dentist. This works well as an anesthetic, and lasts just about as long as it take me to eat a meal, so I guess that's just right. It has a small, but not too bad, impact on the flavor of the meal, especially if you get it on your tongue (but what do you expect from an anesthetic?). It contains saccharine for sweetness, though, which I would otherwise completely avoid in food. Since I only use this occasionally, that's not a deal-breaker, but I would prefer a less toxic sweetener.
