Product Description

The shemagh, also known as the keffiyeh or Arab scarf, is a simple yet efficient way to protect your face and neck from sun, wind and sand. It also works well as alternative winter headwear, particularly in areas with snow and strong winds. Styles of wearing the shemagh vary, but wrapping the scarf around the head and face provides optimal protection from the elements.

Instructions for Wearing a Shemagh:
⇒ [Step 1] Fold the shemagh into a triangle. Wrap it around the back and over the top of your head, with the folded edge across your forehead, making sure that about two-thirds of the material is on your left. The right end ought to be long enough to come to your chest.
⇒ [Step 2] Use your left hand to pinch the shemagh about 3 or 4 inches from the folded edge and let the edge hang forward.
⇒ [Step 3] Let go of the right end. Using your left hand, hold the edge of the shemagh next to your left cheek and hold it near your left cheekbone. After you do this, use your right hand to pull the left end of the shemagh across your face, over your nose.
⇒ [Step 4] Continue to wrap the shemagh around your face and head until you get it back over your left shoulder. Grip the right tail and hold it to keep from pulling the shemagh off your head as you wrap. Work your hands down toward the ends as you wrap.
⇒ [Step 5] Pull the shemagh as tight as needed to feel comfortable. At the end of the process, take both ends and, somewhere near your right temple, tie them in a knot. A square knot will secure the shemagh adequately.

I like that this comes in many, many different colors. These are gorgeous. You can definitely match them with multiple outfits which is a huge plus. I wear a lot if white, black, beige, browns, etc so the color I chose is perfect. The material is a bit thicker, and would definitely keep sand, dust, and snow out of your face, however is very absorbent. The look of this is very nice. The size is huge so you have multiple ways to wear it. This is an amazing product 👏.

I live in Florida and sweat. As a man, I wanted a stylish loose, light scarf that I could use if necessary to shade my head and face or to wipe sweat from my head and face.

I just got to figure out the best way to wear it as a scarf. And what types of shirts go with it. I never worn a scarf before, so it is awkward trying to get the "cool scarf guy look" down.

I really enjoy my Shemagh. I live in CO, and the fall cold snap hasn't affected me in the slightest with this thing on. People are complaining about it not being super soft.. When it was designed (It is traditionally called a Keffiyeh), they didn't have stuff like 'Microfleece'. Regardless, It's a multi-purpose scarf/head wrap that you should carry or wear every day. These scarfs have almost unlimited uses. Here's a few examples:

Dust Protection. Cover your face on motorcycles, truck beds, and tops of chicken buses.
Sun Protection. Great for when you’re stranded in mid-day heat without shade nearby.
Towel. Small, lightweight, fast drying, but thick enough get the job done. Perfect for the beach.
Warmth. Wrap it around your neck as a scarf on the top of a mountain.
Bag. Lay it out, put stuff in middle, tie four corners together. Instant hobo sack.
Sarong. While shorter than a normal one, it can still be wrapped around your waist.
Sweat Rag. Great for hiking, running, or other sweat-inducing activities.
Arm Sling. Sprain a wrist or break an arm? Perfect for temporary immobilization.
Emergency Bandage. Help stop bleeding and protect the wound until you get to a hospital.
Pillow. Thick & soft enough to ball up and sleep with on bus rides or camping trips.
Weapon. Twist a big rock up in the middle, and you have an instant self-defense tool!
Concealment. Hide valuables on your person
Rope. Long enough to be rolled up to tie things together.
