Buy this stuff from a seller who will give you a hassle-free replacement on the very rare occasion that a bad unit gets through quality control. I have only had one Condor product fail ever. If a Condor product fails, it's going to be the stitching, and it's always going to be a QC issue, not a materials issue. Condor uses very durable fabric and has a ton of stitching. They don't use the garbage snaps that the other cheap brands of larper-grade tactical gear use. The velcro is always good and doesn't get weak.
This gear may or may not be considered deployment-grade, it's impossible for me to test that.
It's worth considering that anything you take into the field would need to be replaced after a year or two, or be so disgustingly filthy that you would throw it in the trash the minute you stepped back onto US soil.
If I had to go camping for 90 days I would be confident that all my Condor gear would survive.
These mag pouches are also good for holding small flashlights, large pocket knives, Leathermans, pliers, etc. and will hold up better than plenty of name-brand stuff you can buy to carry the same. Leatherman has a MOLLE sheath that I have heard mostly nothing but complaints about.
The value proposition with Condor gear is such: The next step up in quality would cost AT LEAST 3 times as much. You cannot get a better product between this tier and the premium gucci MOLLE gear all the youtubers are wearing and shilling for. If you can't afford this stuff, buy this. If you can upgrade later, you're probly still gonna save money on all the stuff you don't feel the need to upgrade, like these perfectly serviceable mag pouches. No, I will never spend more on something so simple unless my Condor swag falls apart on me. Belts and vests are another story.
So lets start by saying this a a very good product, as with all MOLLE type pouches just keep in mind the versatility of these items. I bought mine for a small flashlight pouch and it works great. The manufacturers specified use is for a Mag pouch and it does well as that too. I may have gone MOLLE crazy but my tac vest will be set up nicely. CONDOR makes a really good product, the price is significantly lower than 5.11 and it does the job. 5.11 and CONDOR can be mixed and matched on the same platform if you ask me, they look good and complement each other.
A medium sized leather-man would also fit great in this pouch, It has the webbing on the back and can be mounted horizontally however, if you find the need to mount this vertically no problem. Just opt for some Blackhawk speed clips and you are in business.
Bottom Line: I would buy this product again, and again, and again
On my leatherman Super Tool 300 fits perfect all I had to do was adjust the the top cover to fit the tool and attach to 100% of the nylon( use a ruler to detach the Velcro strap from inside the pouch. The pouch has some elastic on the side so a mag or tool will fit snug. I measured it up to see how my mag from a P226 fit and it fits great. The MOLLE attachment in the back is solid. In one of my pictures you can see the plastic insert imbedded in the removable strip. I took it out since I plan to wear it horizontally. If you do wear it vertically lace the strap so only two of the back straps are available and it will fit a 1.5” belt with very little play. There are four straps in the back that fit my 1.5 inch leather belt like a glove when horizontalin my belt ...what’s not to like.. rock solid construction, adjustable for large or small magazine or knife and a great price to boot.
