About Smittybilt
In 1956, Basil Smith, also known as “Smitty”, started a small machine shop in his garage. Being one of the four-wheel drive enthusiasts, his chief concern was to develop four wheel drive equipment for trucks and small SUVs (Jeeps). Over the years, Smitty’s son, Tom Smith, worked with his dad and then later at “Smittybilt” after the business flourished. Having been exposed to the four-wheel drive lifestyle his entire life, Tom was able to conceive innovative product ideas geared towards the growing off-road industry just like himself. As the business grew, Tom Smith designed and developed more and more exciting new products.

Rust within two weeks... great otherwise.
Had a couple chips in the paint when it arrived, but figured I could touch them up at some point, so I proceeded with install. Getting this on would have been a breeze if I didn’t have bolts break getting the old bumper off... I was very pleased until rust showed up before it had even been on two weeks. Looks like I should have touched up those paint chips before installing.

It clearly say no drilling installation. Definitely a lie when you open the box of hardware an the first thing in there you see is a odd looking steel cutout. Sure enough I do have to drill my frame I checked an tried to install without drilling it’s days like this where I wanna tie a Amazon product to my car an go for a drive around the neighborhood an then ship it back to them all nice an wrapped up. If my time is worthless to you so should your time be to me.

Very solid, well built bumper with a good powdercoat, i did not install the 4 bolts behind gas tank. I haven't had any problems with pulling people out of the mud or hauling 500lbs of corn on a hitch rack with it. If I pulled a trailer alot I would drop the tank down and put the 4 extra bolts in just for safety.

as for the tire carrier mount, I just hid it until I get the tire carrier.
for some reason a lot of people notice my new bumpers and point at it.
no worries, if you are concerned that the rear bumper has a mount for a tire carrier.
