How To Use Root Riot Cubes

Root Riot grow plugs are supplied already moist. If they have become dry to touch, simply re-wet by placing them in a bowl of lukewarm water. The plant starter plugs should be spongy and moist – not saturated. Ideally they should be at room temperature. Unused cubes should be kept in the plastic bag to prevent drying.

Not sure how it's happening, but these are slightly different shape than plugs in the exact product and size bags of Root Riot from the feed/garden store. Plugs in one bag from Amazon looked ragged like they were missing tops. Second bag was closer to the normal form. But they work fine and everything started in them looks great. Only other issue is they cost a few dollars more but that saves me the long drive to the city garden center from my very rural area. I would buy them again.

I got my package and opened it up and started placing the plugs in my growing trays, the one I’m using has 50 cells. They come pre moistened and ready to go after a brief soaking. I loaded my tray up, put it on an heat mat and planted some seeds for my garden. My first batch was about 30 tomatoes and 10 bell pepper. So far everything has popped up and looks healthy and vigorous.
