Bought mine from seller 'Stealth Rabbit' and it came with an ESEE Randall's Adventure and Training card. Not sure if they always have that or if it's added by the seller, but it's pretty sweet.
It comes sharp but not sharp like a regular ESEE knife. It is advertised as, “a knife or spear” but it really is not practical as a small knife because of how small it’s blade actually is (even if you lash it to a stick handle). In a pinch you could use it to open an MRE or cut up some paracord, even poke a hole in a can or maybe gut a small fish, but that’s about it.
As a spear – this would not work well for anything other than a small fishing spear or maybe a small javelin point for squirrels. It would however work very well as an arrowhead for an arrow.
The arrowhead is solid and high quality, exactly what you would expect from ESEE. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because, even though the dimensions are listed, the “knife or spear” description is misleading… and based on the other reviews, I am not the only one who though it was misleading. In no way would I consider this anything other than an arrowhead (with two sharpened edges). If anyone from ESEE is reading this, double the size of this product and then you will really have a very versatile piece of gear that you can advertise it as a knife, spear head, etc.
