Perfect hands free solution
This is exactly what I was looking for in a red light that would keep my hands free to read a map, change freq on radios, or send reports up. Previously I’ve used head lamps strapped against my helmet but that only works so well and has a tendency to slip off. Others have tried attaching those lights to their plate carrier but the angle would always be wrong and actually skyline them by losing light discipline. Enter this beautiful and simple innovation, easily clipped to the center of a plate carrier and doesn’t interfere with other gear or weapon.What sold me was the common sense ability to keep it either in white or red; nothing is more absurd than toggling through the white light options to get to red light. With this I can leave it in red and never have to worry about accidentally flashing white. You can orient the light whichever direction, and when not in use I like to tuck it inside the molle to protect it and prevent accidentally skylining myself. Only wish is that they come in coyote brown; I’ll have to paint this one.
