So our potty training started on day 1, and our pup was not into the Doggy Bathroom at all. He would rather do it on the rug or on any other surface, but the pee pads. A few days in, out of desperation, I purchased the NaturVet training aid spray. My puppy really enjoyed rolling around on the pee pad after the first few sprays. But this is when he did his first unprompted pee!
I would love love to attribute some of the success to this spray because he did start consistently peeing in the potty area after using the spray. But sometimes I do wonder if it was just because he got used to us continuously bringing him to the potty area, no matter if he made a mistake or not. I recommend trying it, it'll save you a lot of cleaning work if it does work. But at the end of the day, consistent potty training regimens are the most important towards a successfully potty trained dog.
