These plugs perform a simple - but important - function: they keep foreign matter from entering the iPhone's dock plug, which can accumulate over time and eventually interfere with complete insertion of the Lightning charging cable, preventing proper charging of the phone. If you're a man and you carry your phone in your pocket (as I do) it's just a matter of time until lint accumulates in the dock receptacle and causes problems.

These Silicone Anti-Dust Plugs completely eliminate this problem by keeping the dock opening secure when not in use. They fit snuggly, and I've had no problem with them accidentally "falling out" when inserted. They're easily removed, however, using your fingernail.

One caveat: The plugs are very small (and black in color), and it can be easy to "lose" them when they're not in place (such as overnight when charging the phone). So be careful when removing and inserting them, not to drop them.

I was hardly ever able to charge my phone because of lint in the charge port from my pocket. This anti-dust plug works perfectly to solve this problem. The plug is tight in the charging port and doesn't dislodge when I keep my phone in my pocket, but is easy to remove when I want to charge it. Same type of performance with the headphone jack port. I wish I bought this plug a long time ago. Definitely worth the price.

BONUS: They send you a bunch of the plugs per order, so if you lose one you've got back up.

These are easy to insert and remove with my big fingers and nails cut close and my iPhone 6s Plus in a Spek case. I have quickly gotten into the habit of taking the plug out at night to charge and putting it back in first thing in the morning. Not long ago I was having trouble getting a good connection to charge or sync my phone. I Googled it and took the advice on cleaning out the lightning port with canned air, a GUM flossing brush and inserting/removing the plug several times. That worked for awhile, but eventually the cable would not stay in. I thought my port was damaged and took it to the local Apple Store. The tech took it in back and cleaned the port with his tools and the problem was solved. No matter how hard I tried to clean it out I never could get all the pocket lint out and it got good and compressed in the port. The tech said not to try anything more drastic than what I did at home to clean it out, otherwise the phone could be damaged. If he damaged it he would replace it. So for 5 bucks I bought a set of these (there are several in a bag), gave one to my son and put the other in my phone. my wife keeps her phone in her purse and has no issues. Let's face it, guys pockets are full of lint. This looks like good, cheap protection. I can't vouch for the long run since I've only used this for a month or so.
***UPDATE after 3 months still no problems. I put the rubber plug in each morning when I take my phone off the charger then take it out each night to charge. Not one issue. I haven't even lost a plug yet ;- )

Really like your product.
I had trouble charging my iPhone, took it to the Apple store and the guy there took quite a blob of dirt and dust out of the charging hole.
After that I realized that somebody must make a plug for these holes and there you are.
My only complaint is that they are so small (and although that is good!) it’s easy to misplace them.
For the headphone plug I have a solution: I put it in the little pouch I keep my headphones in. Now I’m looking for a similar hack for the other one.

Do Not waste your money! The plug for the headphone Jack works perfect but the one for the Charging port is very poorly designed and just falls out almost immediately!! I bought these to keep lint from clogging up in the charging port from my phone being in my pocket but this plug fits so loosely that it just comes off in my pocket.
