Best plus-sized toaster ever made - we call it the Magic Oven.
5 Stars
Best plus-sized toaster ever made - we call it the Magic Oven.
Hard to say what already hasn't been said about this plus-sized toaster. It does everything others have mentioned and re-heats freezer-burned leftover pizza that amazingly is pretty good. Chicken breasts, veggies, bread (OMG), you name it. The pre-heating function could work a little better for some of the steam settings, but other than that, this thing is incredible.UPDATE:After having this thing less than a month, the glass completely shattered while steam cooking at 350. It slowly cracked until the whole glass was shattered. I did not hit it, close it hard, nothing. It just shattered most likely due to quickly heating up. I don't understand why they don't use a stronger oven-safe glass. The WORST part is that Cuisinart would not pay for shipping to return it, and they don't send replacement parts! Amazon paid for the return shipping and will credit me back, but they don't have these in stock anymore for Prime delivery, so I'm screwed either way. Great customer service by Amazon. Cuisinart? HORRIBLE.UPDATE AGAIN (Aug 2017):After complaining to Cuisinart, they did ship me a replacement and a UPS label to return the old one so I didn't have to pay for shipping after all. I'm not sure why the glass cracked on the initial one, but the replacement has been going strong for months with no problems. I absolutely love this appliance, which we have officially named the "Magic Oven." It takes awhile to get the settings down and there are some unconventional ways to cook that work wonderfully - like Super Steaming chicken breasts at 175 for 45-65 minutes (depending on size) to get some of the juiciest I've ever had. This thing is amazingly versatile!
