The cups need to be washed really good with soap and water, and all 6 came with some sort of dent on the bottom, like a tooling mark. Call me dumb here, but Ive always used ceramic or styrofoam cups, never in my life would I have thought about the heat of hot coffee transfering through the cup and into the back side of my finger by using the little handle. I could not let go fast enough. Yes, this burn is prolly 10 days old. These will still have a purpose for cold drinks, and maybe warm soup, but as for hot coffee or hot chocolate for kids, nope, no way!!

Thin steel, but still very functional. I was concerned about their durability when I first opened them up, but after a lot of use it hasn't been a issue. Single-walled, so probably not a great idea for really hot things. We've replaced most of our bowls, since it's easier for the kids to use these in the morning without spilling everywhere.
