For my car, a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser, the replacement keys work fine
in the ignition and door, but cannot be inserted into glove compartment
lock. They act as if they are "valet keys." Of course, the original
Chrysler key works fine in all locations.

I sent the manufacturer photos of the the Chrysler key and of a
replacement key which clearly shows the difference in the key blanks.
The manufacturer offered to return the replacement keys for a refund.
However, since I paid $75 to have them programmed, I will keep them and
make additional non-transponder keys for the glove box.

I can't know whether these replacement keys have the same problem in
other cars, but I believe that the product description should include
the warning that the keys may not work in for the glove box (or trunk if
the car has one).
