_____________
I messed up not inspecting all three containers before starting to use them. I immediately needed two of the three containers and they were fine. Two days after I used the first two, I grabbed for the third to find it was defective. I DON'T WANT to lose the paint in the first two containers in order to return all three containers for replacements. The paint is worth more than each $6 container. Is it possible to get a replacement container for the last one in the trio?

So I bought these and filled four, bought six, and stored them away from extreme heat or cold.
Fast forward to today, two years later. I decided to do some touch up. I shook my container, opened it and it was perfect. The only cleanup was the 1 inch brush I used. Absolutely amazing. Can't even begin to imagine the mess if I had to open the whole gallon can.

I filled the cup with stain and closed the lid, then a couple of quick shakes and I was covered in stain! Upon inspection, the lid had a hairline crack through the center. Pics 3 and 4 attached show the crack, now easily apparent from the stain.
I inspected the other 2 bottles/lids at this time, and unbelievably one of the other lids also had a crack! Only one lid was intact and not cracked. The lids are OBVIOUSLY too thin to hold up over time if they can’t make it to a consumer undamaged. Maybe I got some from a bad lot, but from other reviews it makes me believe it’s in the design.
Until a thicker lid is used, I doubt after repeated vigorous shaking over time if the one good lid I have left is going to hold up. I can bet the plastic mixing ball banging into this apparent weak and plastic lid design is going to present another stain bath down the road!
I wanted to reach out to the manufacture before posting a review, but they make it difficult to reach them. If anyone knows how to reach them please post. I will update this post if the manufacturer reached out to me to try to resolve the issue. Until that happens, I unfortunately would suggest you not buy this product with such an obvious design flaw. If you do, make sure you wear clothes you aren’t afraid to ruin when you shake these cups!
