Bought this for our daughter for her birthday. She has allergies to non-precious metals, so based on the description they wrote for this chain I felt it was perfect:

"QUALITY: Guaranteed .925 Sterling Silver. This is not the fake stuff that will irritate your skin or turn colors after a few weeks of wear! FINISH: Gold Flashed, high polish finish. Stamped with .925 to ensure Sterling Silver base."

They state it is sterling silver, and nickel-free, but the rose gold finish wore off within the first month and my daughter had an allergic reaction. She would be the perfect tester for gold or silver being genuine because she breaks out every single time when it is not. We gave it to her for her birthday in May of 2020, and I saw it hanging with her other necklaces the other day. I realized I had not seen her wear it in a long time, so I asked her about it. She had not wanted to say anything about what had happened, so of course the time for a refund has passed.

The length of the necklace was too short and more like an 18 inch. Now I’m stuck with it. However, the necklace appears sturdy and worth the value. I’m just disappointed in the length I ordered vs what I received.. BTW, don’t pay attention to the necklace display length measurements on the photo it’s way off.
